How much were the IJ 'Dirty' Minis from Blockbuster?

For you fine folks that bought their Johnny Lightning Hollywood Release 5 Italian Job 'dirty' MINIs from Blockbuster, how much did you pay for all 3 cars?

Blockbuster Canada doesn't sell them, you can only get them from hobby shops here. I managed to get my IJ set from eBay for LESS than these hobby shops were selling them for!!

I'm curious to know what the US Blockbuster prices are, so see if my eBay cost is truly a good deal

Paid $3.99 US + 7.75% sales tax per car... $12.90 total

(Not dirty, but I did purchase them at Blockbuster last week.)

No one is intersetd but me! No one is very interetesed in the car either - which is nice as there is a lot of car theft here. Noone looks twice at my motor an my insurance is low.

Most people have 10 or 20 year old Audi 100's here with little blue lights on the screen washers , raised ( ) suspension, tyres wider than the car and black tints.

I, of course, think my car is the dogs b s, My JL cars are in my office and look fantastic.

I like the muddy ones too...... is there a scale power washer and scale Zaino to go with them?

It's OK, Tavis. I knew what you meant. I've placed an order for a high speed freighter. Can anyone cover my $40M down payment check?

Who ever designed that packaging on the Hotwheels should be shot!

The way the hole to hang it on is slotted, when you reach in to see the name they fall off the hook and crash to the floor!

MP the only numbers I have are from last years models:
Crazed Clown is #096
2001 Mini Cooper (yellow) is #040

If you have a Big Lots around you, check them out for a 5 pack of BMW diecast cars. They have 2 different Morris Minis mixed in with the BMWs. One is an Antique White/Black and the other is a Moss Green/Black. Since it was Big Lots both packs of 5 ran about $7.00

And if any Collectors have the list of Collector Numbers for the many MINIs please post it.

Another thing that is stupid about the Hot Wheel packs is if you leave them in the package for display they almost fall on there face. The JL's and even the El Cheapos bubble pack, have it so there is a "leg" so they stand upright. You would think a manufacture such as Hot wheels would have that figured out by now!

Mattel

What do you expect from the largest Toy MFG company in the world.. CLUELESS, PASSIONLESS, $BOTTOM LINE$ Products..

Mattel makes Hotwheels and now Matchbox too.

Don't get me started on Mattel!

They RUINED Matchbox when they took over in 1997.
Once a quality line of collectable miniatures.. now freaky wild colored plastic crap-mobiles.. The quality is right in line with dollar store cars. See the Nissan Xterra as an example. SAD SOOO SAD..

Sorry to rant but I was once a big collector of Matchbox cars and I have literally thousands of them in storage.. I miss the quality and pride once put into these cars..

No problem Ginger, Let me know if you need more help. Worst case, I could get them for you and you could send me the payment then I could ship them to you. I'm totaly on the up and up, you can ask Paa100, I sent him a set of the clean IJ cars from USA to Lithuania. I also sent EBMCS03 a video of the poker rally that was held last October here in So Cal that we both attended.

The TAVIS WAY worked just great!
They are fantastic models.
The Corgi ones look carp in comparison.
I am still hankering from some dirty ones though.....
You can find them on ebay too.

drives me insane too...grrrr...every time I go for a packed row they fall on my head, the floor, the shelf...arrrrrgh...now I just leave them...(my subtle message to Hot Wheels)

TY, I had 096 (found 2 clown cars)

glad to know about 040, I knew it was yellow, now it should be easier and maybe less cars will get knocked around.

Yes, numbers please!

OMG Ginger that Police MINI is amazing, nice job!!!
