So, the ducks did not make it to the Blue Ridge Parkway drive or The Great Ice Cream Run, but they did get to MINIsOnTop

They helped with raffle ticket sales at Loon Mountain:




They were well represented bu duckie friends too ...




They shared the stage with "Golden Man" at the base of Mount Washington:


And they rode to the top in GPMINI:


After that, they wandered around and met various friendly MINI people

The ducks acquired a couple more "trinkets" too! Make-A-Wish of Maine gave each duck a Make-A-Wish star; also, Jar got a nice pin from the top-of-Mount-Washington store for Jack ...

Of course, Marty (the Observatory's cat) had to grant permission for Quack Quack to even be on his mountain top!

Team Italian Job changed our theme for The 24 Hours of LeMons this year . . . Last year we had "Racing Jack" on the back deck of our 1987 BMW 325is that had been made to look like a MINI, replete with grill and spoiler.

This year we went all duck - The Ducks of Hazzard - for the race. Seemed to do better (climbing from 40th to 25th over two days) and definitely had much more fun.

I had the team's two black flags. One penalty resulted in us having to give up Racing Jack: Video View: The Mayhem That Was The 24-Hours Of LeMons At Stafford Motor Speedway - Shawn Courchesne | Auto Racing (But, in the end, Sarah conned the judges into giving him back.)

The Great Yorkshire Duck Race - Home

Last I saw 'em, the QQs were in the States (New York State) boozin' it up at the wineries. That was on July 11.

By this time, who knows where they are???

The ducks are still in the US, heading to Wyoming next, to go to Minis in the Mountains in Colorado. That's the same weekend as the Yorkshire run, and I know they hate to miss anything, but it's still hard to be two places at once. They have a wedding to go to in early September here in the US, and after that their schedule seems to lighten up a bit.

We met up with the Shamster and family the other day, will have to download the picture we took!
