So let's talk stew. In Provence, a good one has a set of spices called, locally, pistou. Still, I have yet to find good supplies of seafood in the Keene area. Way too much farm-raised phonies and scallops that have grouper looks all over them with 40% water added. So can I assume a good bread will accompany so as to sop up the remains? Am I too demanding? Rickie, if you are serious about wimpy chicken, you might plan to give the Tornado the wimpiest you can do. Truly, PB&J will appeal more than curry but it is always fun to watch her push food around her plate like an 11 year old. I devour cheesecake anywhere anyhow. Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear.

I could very well don said hockey gear and kick some tail. I can hold my own on ice skates and I rather enjoy hitting people. You shall not, however, see my special costume. But distraction would definitely be a possibility. Now, as for food, there will be an additional dessert. I shall bring my famous Italian cream pie. Not quite a bocci ball, but still yummy. Lodging, eh? Hadn't thought about that.

We must truly be in esteemed culinary company, just about every major bit food associated with this event is "somebody's famous something". I don't have quite so many famous dishes to my name (although I can do amazing things with a George Foreman grill), but to keep the theme going, I'll probably bring a six-pack of Ricardo's Famous store-bought IBC Root Beer...-Ricardo

Ice skating is super fun. I like to run into the walls at full speed!!!!! My money is on the goalie. I have mad respect for goalies, grown men just aren't made to bend that way. Plus, the way they mark up the ice is cute. They also usually look very menacing behind the goalie mask. Now I have not seen Ricardo in said get up so that is why I added usually. Ninjas have a lot going for them too especially NinjaNinja's but I'm going to stand by my earlier bet. ![]() "Buy you a soda after the game?"

Now there's a vote of confidence, Beth gets two cool points. Take that! Somewhere on the Ed tribute thread I posted some pictures out on the ice with my duck. Hold on a sec... Okay, here it is. Not sure if it's menacing, the only shot with my cage on is a bit too distant a photo to be menacing. But I can grimace, glare, and scowl with the best of 'em, trust me. -Ricardo Just a random thought; As I said above, I don't really have a "famous" anything (aside from my famous store-bought IBM diet root beer), but I have inherited the family tradition of the famous Gomez tortilla. Not tortilla like a corn chip, not what you use for burritos or tacos, that's Mexican tortilla (I'm Spanish, not Mexican. I once complained on these boards that being named Ricardo means every girl I date ends up being called Lucy by her friends. That's thing #1 that ain't so hot about being named Ricardo in a region where Ricardos are very very thin on the ground. Thing #2: Everyone seems to assume you like Mexican food. I don't. Not at all. Just thought I'd clear that up). Anyhow, I don't mean corn tortilla or flour tortilla, I mean tortilla de patatas. A lot of people say it's like an omelet, but they don't tend to say that around my family if they want to live more than five minutes. That's like saying filet mignon is like a burger. Tortilla is pretty much my favorite food in the world, old family recipe. Don't want to impose in the least on the lovely menu our gracious hosts have prepared, but I'm giving some thought to cooking up a couple of these bad boys to bring along...

Do they ship well? Sadly, M and I must bow out of this feast. I tried to get the day off from FedEx but, in addition to them saying, "What are you, nuts?", they suggested that I'll probably be working well past 4:30 from next Saturday on as the holidays approach. And this was a job that was sold to me as T-F 3PM 'til 7 and Saturday mornings. Sorry all. But I will get some MAMA Ts to R&L just in case you feel winter would not be the same without one, or more. That way MAW could really win on this combo! Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear.

Hmmm Spanish tortillas...! One of my enduring memories is of a holiday to the Costa del Sol when I was a kid. Apart from snorkelling so long I got sunstroke (and the whole of the back of my shoulders turned to one big blister), the thing I remember is the tortillas that the maid cooked. They were delicious..! ![]() Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else.
