"MINI Peabody Cares For Keith
MINI Peabody has an event planned for Sunday November 13th to raise money for the Care For Keith Trust:

An instructional / gymkana driving event will be held on Sunday November 13th between 10am and 3pm; driving instructors from the BMW CCA Boston chapter will provide instruction / training on MINI handling, followed by a skill drive gymkana emphasising driving control (NOT speed).
Food & drink will be provided and all participating MINIs will be cleaned.
The event will also show off the new Lyon-Waugh group Centennial Park service operation - MINI Peabody is part of that group.

An entrance fee of $50/car will be charged - this fee will go directly to the Care For Keith Trust; specially designed T-shirts will also be available for purchase with profits from them going to the trust.

To sign up, please contact Martin Hansberry (MINI Peabody General Manager) by email.
IMPORTANT: It is essential that you email Martin if you plan to attend - an accurate head count is needed for planning food, space, etc ... thank you."

yeah... duhhhh... for someone who's so p i s s e d and writing negative things in the off topic thread, perhaps, this one could get stickied and he could put the info there.. of course, that would just make sense..

I'd LOVE to do this event, both for Keith and for my own driving skills, but on such short notice, and 50 bucks... I might not be able to...

I'm going to sign up as well. While it's a few bucks for someone that's never met Keith, I would have done it for my M.A. and think it's really nice of MoP to organize this on his behalf. Hope enough people show up to make it worthwhile, and that the contibution doesn't scare anyone off. Sounds like there may be a lesser contribution asked of those who just want to be there. Pass the word around, the more the merrier!

P.S. it looks like your contribution is per MINI, not per person...

As I pointed out in OTB, in case you were questioning the fee:

-You are getting most of the BMWCCA's ADSS, which is $75. (for those that have not done this, it is something I would recommend for ALL drivers)
-A BBQ lunch
-A car wash
-A good cause

"Yes your mini will fit in that spot" are they teaching parallel parking too? I may need to go I plel park my mini as if it were an excursion.
