Hi from the T&C! I'm always impressed with their extensive immenities, but the new free wireless is unherad of. I hope everyone had a blast. Thanks to mother nature for giving us AMAZING weather this year...I knew we were due for it! Unfortunately NO wind, and despite trying at loon, lunch, and the Base, there wasn't enough to even fly the kite let alone the weight of the camera rig. I guess I'll just have to keep trying int he future!

Got home a little while ago.. MOT2006 was great! Thanks again to everyone who worked hard to make it all work out. Linda and I had a great time and got to meet many more MINI people! Scary drive up the mountain though, when some trucks were coming down and we had to squeeze past them along the outer edge of the dirt road!

MOT was well run and a pleasure to attend. Alas, we won't be back after this year, due to a technical detail: The actual Autoroad kicks my vertigo into screaming overdrive. The Keeper of Important Documents got stuck driving both directions, and it wasn't her kind of road either. Correction: It was a little too much her kind of road. We are glad we came, including the actual MOT run, but once was enough. We will again join our fellow motorers in the near future, but you'll need to look for our BRG ragtop at events on more level ground. -ahd- Drew Derbyshire, Software Hobbit & Cat Valet 2006 BRG MCS Convertible

Great time this year, many thanks to all the yellow hats! What an outstanding time this year! Kudos and a tip 'o the yellow hat to all the yellow hat volunteers who worked so hard to put this together. Especially improved was the queueing for the food last night....no chaos! And that was a very nice tribute to Ed... Drew, thanks for organizing the Woburn run to A51...sure hope you'll reconsider and come back next year, just don't do the Auto Road...and have fun at the base...but if you don't, can we have your website? ![]() Of course, the weather cooperated fully, despite the last minute clouds at the top. The new runs were nice (I went on Franc 2, some nice twisties on 112). And, it was great to see "old" friends and make new ones. Pet...er Pat, nice to meet you! Drtymurphy, thanks for your (and Dan's) help on the Trivia Contest, Eliot and Donna too, as well as Barbara and Joe...next year we'll get a better name ![]() Suggestion: what about distributing to all the registered attendees, a list of all attendees w/ their MINI2 / NAM screen name (if provided) and given name, so we can help to keep in touch. It may also help us to remember folks, i.e. if we know their given name but not their screen name here or vice-versa. Note I said screen name, not email should anyone be concerned about privacy. Hey, any other coupe drivers suffering from "driver tan" (or sunburn)? Quite unlike the convertible drivers who are tan all over ![]() Last edited by Aqualung; Jun 18th, 2006 at 05:56 PM.

Mountie Warnings.... Of course things could change by the time others come down, but in case you're reading this before leaving.... On Rte. 93 near the Laconia access ramps, lot of activity as you might imagine, as it's where most of the bikers are getting on. Also, on 93 in Concord, when it opens up to the wide hwy, mounties. I came down Rte 3...in Nashua where the two lanes open up to 5-6, unmarked mountie w/ lidar in the right lane. NH mounties use Chevy Malibus, this was dark green and he was parked w/ traffic, using the side mirror to aim his lidar back to the target....interesting. Finally, on the other side of Nashua, at the NH/MA line, huge radar trap on the left hand side, they had about 8 cars pulled over, 5 mounties hard at work.
