I didn't take many pictures at MoT. Heck, I wasn't even at MoT for very long. But, this picture was promised to Mart and Bert, so here goes:

Thank you to all MoT volunteers for a wonderful event once again in 2006. The best part was seeing so old MINI friends again and meet many new ones. Well, OK, after the spirited drive up Bear Notch and the Kanc at 7 am Saturday....

Ian, your gesture in donating the JCW upgrade prize to the highest bidder was both a stroke of genius and the mark of a true gentleman -- raising another $4000+ for Make-A-Wish Foundation!

Ah... thanks. Sorry to have missed you and Jim this year, but had to stay around home. Good luck in Vegas...

The "stroke of genius" goes to Steve / formerCCM who came up with the idea for his own tickets - I simply agreed with him that it was an excellent idea.

And WOW THANKS to all that bid; the final donation was amazing, and the bidding was such fun, once everyone overcame the shock of what was happening

Got back to Long Island a few hours ago. This was my second MOT (first was last year) and I enjoyed it a bit more then the first (due to the nice weather this year). Thanks to all the yellow hats for all of their hard work, it really showed how much thought and care went into all the planning. Looking forward to next year.

And the tribute to Ed was PERFECT!

RIP Boo

Ivan, I bet they'll put your picture up in the showroom at Towne. I'll look for it next time I'm there! Thanks to Dan Ives for making the trip & for the donations. Much appreciated!

We just got back a little while ago. What a fantastic trip. It was great meeting everyone and we can't wait to do it again next year. Thanks again to Theo and Carol for organizing the YC/ A51 caravan, and to all the other volunteers that worked so hard to make this a great event for all of us. It was much appreciated.

Suggestion: what about distributing to all the registered attendees, a list of all attendees w/ their MINI2 / NAM screen name (if provided) and given name, so we can help to keep in touch. It may also help us to remember folks, i.e. if we know their given name but not their screen name here or vice-versa. Note I said screen name, not email should anyone be concerned about privacy.

It was great to meet you too, Aqualung. Next year is our year to dominate the trivia..."The stars at night are clear and bright deep in the heart of Chile". We had a great time!

I think the list is a good idea - maybe include the state we're from as well.

Honestly Gavin, I was floored! So was everyone when we announced Steves plan to re-auction it but anyway ...

We did everything we could this year to keep the draw honest; we had a huge bucket that we could really thoroughly shake & mix the tickets, we had Mark Ravin from Herb Chambers MINI draw the MoP prize (and the other way round) ...

I really don't want to ban the "yellow hats" from buying tickets, but it's starting to get worrying now, after Theo winning the HC lease last year - thankfully "someone else" won the HC this year!
[and I need to know who it was!]
