| And hey, the T&C didn't charge me anything extra for the big suite. Nice! Oh, and someone left a couple cans of Amp and Red Bull in my fridge. Don't know why I didn't just leave them there, unless the things are good for loosening stuck bolts or something I'm not likely to use them. Oh well... -Ricardo |

What time did the tow show up?Dennis, Michael, and Liam -- I now know what a fern is And Becky -- you were the glue that held together our Chicago group. | Great to meet so many great people. Had a blast - and John - Thanks for BOTH messages... No- I didn't get to eat. But I was told that this year's food was not only great again but you could actually get some ![]() Make a Wish owes all of you a great thanks - Though the totals are not in yet it looks like all of you, through MINIs on Top, will grant the wishes of 3 kids! This is an astounding amount of money from a small group and we had so much fun doing it. I felt a little like Santa giving away all the great donations by so many. Please visit the donations thread - http://www.mini2.com/forum/new-york-...on-thread.html and patronize these businesses that have helped out so generously. And in the mean time I did get a few pictures up - Including Ivan and his new convertible - http://homepage.mac.com/m2smith/PhotoAlbum7.html (I'll put captions on 'em later) - But now I'm going to bed - I've had too much excitement for one weekend ![]() “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.” - Alexis de Tocqueville Eric the Red |

| On another note- GRILL BADGES I received a few grill badges from folks where the nut that is welded to the back has popped off. This looks like it is due to tightening the threaded bolt so that it pushed the badge right off the nut. Each one I exchanged the bolt was all the way to the base of the nut. It is not necessary to have the bolt seat all the way down. You may want to hold the bolt next to the nut and use a Sharpie to mark the height of the nut on the bolt. This way you can tell if you are going to bottom it out. Because the badges are a limited run I will not be able to replace them so please be careful. “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.” - Alexis de Tocqueville Eric the Red |

| nothing funkey at all, just getting the damage of running Rt 95 during construction for 2 years fixed,The front end looks like it was peppered with 00 buck shot several times.Multiple paint chips now starting to rust, and since I seem to be into this car for the long haul, it's time to pay the piper.People can say all they want about "loading " tickets in one area, but I still paid out $100 bucks for the make a wish foundation which anyone else was free to do also.I had set up my work for Sublime a long time before I even knew Julian was donating services and had accepted a $2100 plus estimate for work to be done, so it only made sense to try like h3ll to get his prizes since I am already slated to have all three prize descriptions done! I only wish I'd gotten the third one too! Jock out of my mind.........back in five minutes. |

| Just a reminder... I'll be needing some photos to accompany the MINIs On Top 2006 article for MC2 magazine. The photo deadline in Saturday, June 24th. But here's the deal... - Resolution: for publishing needs, the resolution needs to be as close to 2574 x 1922 as possible. - Subjects: anything goes; artsy, informative, humorous, scandalous....you get the idea! I also need good shots of Jim McDowell from MINI, our Lease and JCW raffle winners with the Herb Chambers/MINI of Peabody representatives, Trivia Contest winners, Ian Cull, Steve Barnatt, Gerry and Rita Belanger ("Furthest" winners), Bert and Mart, and "on the road" shots of Franc1, Franc2 and the Kanc. - Photo Selection: I will choose a whole bunch of photos that compliment the article to be written. I'd like to give Gary and Barry 50 or so images from which the will probably choose up to 10. - Credit: You will be given photo credit by MC2 if your image is published. A number of you have already expressed your interest in contributing...thanks! Others who would like to contribute should send me a PM, so I (and MC2) have permission to use your shots. IMPORTANT: HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR PHOTOS - 1. Please make sure your images are as close to 2574 x 1922 pixels in resolution as possible. 2. Send me a PM giving permission to use your shots. 3. Post (and credit/comment) all the shots to be reviewed on the Group Flickr site (see earlier post) or on your own gallery site (let me know which). You do not need to post the full resolution version of your images; I will contact you later to get the full image. People in your photos should be identified in your posted image comments. 4. Make sure your images are posted by this coming Saturday, June 24th. I will contact you during the first part of next week to get the full resolution version of the images. Thank You!
