| I beg to differ! Secco was most certainly there! I can personally attest to hearing his voice over the speaker system!  I certainly dont disagree with spreading the benefitting charity around new england, or perhaps splitting among a few different ones. But it is important to note, especially as noted by my truck driver, they are very happy for all of us to be there as we contribute a very large amount of money to the economy, if nothing else in restaurants, food, hotels, shops, and gas. And I bet you he will be getting one of the biggest checks of the weekend from MINIUSA after a 175-mi tow x2 ways!  |

| Hi - I had a great time this weekend. Unfortunately on my way home, my power steering died. So today I gave New Country Mini over $600 for a new power steering pump and motor. At least it did not hamper my fun weekend though. Comment on the proclomation - in defense of the organizers, it was a very rushed event. Also I thought the phone call was so cool, that being a past attendee, I thought it was more personal. Just my 2 cents. Sue Sue Former owner, now have a 2006 Acura RSX Type S |

| I think that's also part of the tradition... I seem to remember one year when a majority of the attendees were walking away from the tent as John was still trying to give away prizes.  The timing will always be tight given the constraints of the road race and getting to the top for sunset. |

| Haha. Me too. I was yelling at them to take down the flag because they didn't have the proper permits. What permit? they screamed back. | I'm so very pleased that we now have loads of volunteers to run the charity part of MINIsOnTop - that was the only part that was a pain in the rear this year due to certain persons opinions, and I would be very happy to dump it all on someone else next year. Derek, please stop giving John online etiquette lessons  For those of you who want to read the proclamation, here it is:  (click on it for a bigger image) Please try to ignore the various errors due to our requests for changes being forgotten / ignored or whatever ... I really don't want to see this thread become a mud slinging match between New Hampshire and the MOT yellow hat team; apparently I'm in the minority in that opinion |

| There definitely was no malice intended in not reading the proclamation. No one's saying it isn't worth doing or that we don't appreciate the efforts of those that arranged for it. Things got very hectic towards the end, and I attribute it to the splendid efforts of those who aquired donations, as we easily had many more prizes to go through than last year. More prizes means more time, and as Jason stated, we're already a bit crunched for time due to the race. So no hard feelings, guys.  |
