Please note that the Cod was burned out long before BMW designed the new MINI. That scurrilous tool has about 3 brain cells left....why, for example, just the other day he called me and asked if I remembered what color HIS Mini is. He had forgotten and thought it might be either red or velvet red.

Don't panic like this - no need

Note Michaals smilie after his throne comment ... he and Steve know each other well and would be unlikely to beat each other up on the next meeting (unlike the infamous Jared / PezBoy, but he seems to have "flown away").

Remember PJ you have just joined a group that have been together here for 2 or 3 years; there's loads of in jokes / banter / etc ... you'll get used to it (and probably join in) soon enough

3M. Ooooh, low blow. And maybe if Steve dusted off his MINI, he'd see that it's actually Chili Red.

At this early stage, I can tell you that the Yankee Candle/Area 51 Events will again be included in the pre-MOT festivities. More information will be sent out via the standart MOT email channel.

You can see information about last year's YC/Area 51 Events HERE.

If we can't get our ducks in a row before the luxurious T&C fills up, which motel is the most highly recommended for MINI overflow??

Last year we the T&C filled up early. The overflow went to the Royalty Inn. It's located a couple of miles away. Not a bad place plus you park right outside your door. Lots of other places in the area as well. Look on Google maps for 'hotels near Gorham, NH".

Recommend getting into the T&C if you can, and want to drink ... or the Royalty Inn is probably 10-15 minutes "stagger"

Yeah yeah, what ever.

We'll see what you're full of when I command PEZboy to kick your ass all over the TandC parking lot. Actually, I don't think the Pez has ever seen the TandC lot. He usually blows out of NH right after the descent. Maybe we can further indoctrine the skinny runt now that he has the occasional snort of liquor and will be going stag

Even though I contacted the T&C last year at a point that I thought was pretty early, it was already filled up. We ended up at the Royalty, which is OK, but it's truly an overflow and nothing MOT-related happens there. Being able to learn from past expriences, we made T&C reservations for this year's MOT last November.

Ditto that. We had originally only planned an "MOT Day Trip", then at the last minute (actually a few weeks before) decided to make a weekend out of it. Obviously no-go at T&C and ended up at the Royalty Inn as well. Not a bad place, just not in the middle of the action, so to speak. Reservations were likewise made well in advance at T&C this year!

Even if you're thinking about going to MOT2006 I'd go ahead and book your room(s) now. If it turns out you can't make it there will be no shortage of folks lined up to take the reservation off your hands.
