Thanks to all for a great weekend. We had a blast. I can tell you I was nearly as excited to win the Whalen Shifter as Shannon seemed to be to win the lease on the MC. I really enjoyed looking at all the cars and the drives were excellent. My wife and had a great time in North Conway and we all loved going up the Mountain. We stopped at "Santa's Village" on the way back to VT and the kids spent 4 hours enjoying the rides. There was a minor tragedy when I lost my MINI hat on the log ride, but I'll get over it. Again thanks to all. '05 HB/HB MC MMC #324 MID # COOP845 |

I did that, too, but used Liquid Nails to reapply it with great success. Survived Rt 93 N and S as well as a spirited Bear Notch Road Ride, heaves and all . . . ![]() ![]()

Thanks to Ian C. (GBMINI) and all the organizers & volunteers & donors of this year's MOT. You folks did a fantastic job throwing and hosting the biggest MINI party on this side of the world! ![]() To Mart, Bert and the MAXAMINI family, there is no better way to honor and remember Ed than to do so at his most favorite MINI event: ![]() (MOT 2004) I suppose the most memorable moment for me this year was when good friend Scott (Nightrider) in the chili red MCS stalled out right in front of me on the steep incline just before reaching the parking area at the Top. It took at least two attempts to get into gear, about two yards of slippage, and finally a dozen strong arms to help push the disobedient MINI up to flat ground! Thanks to all those of you who helped save his red boot and my green bonnet! A spectacle to all who were watching, I'm sure... so if anyone took a picture of that moment, I'd be amused to see it.Meanwhile... ![]() HERE ARE MORE PICTURES from my simple lens. Great seeing and meeting everyone! Whether the weather is nicer on even-years is true, the spirit of MINIs On Top is always great every year. (By the way, whoever did not try NoNo's homemade CALZONES missed out!!)

OMFG!.. Steve that was about the funniest g-damn post I've read in long time! I think I wet myself a bit! Seriously though.. I hope you guys really didn't give anybody crap about that.. It was sorted out privately and it's all water under the bridge, we've just gone our seperate ways that's all.. bad enough I lost a couple good friends out of the ordeal.. ![]() but it was a funny post, though! Kudos, Steve! Stop the world, I wanna get off!!!

See, John?.. you're gettin me in trouble.. !.. Ian, I'm teasing you.. It's ok. I've got much love for a majority of the folks that were at MoT this year and only wish I could have been there to enjoy it. Especilly considering I paid for reg., the shirt, the dinner, the grill badge,etc.... I'm just jealous.. that's all Stop the world, I wanna get off!!!

I was in an unusually pleasant mood all weekend...that must have been my moment of clarity! Seriously...Belated thanks to all those that made this year's MOT what can only be described as a resounding success. From Ian and all of the volunteers (there were many more who contributed than just the "yellow hats") to the folks who drove untold hours to join us, thank you all for making this one of if not the premier East Coast MINI gathering. Where there glitches? Of course, as you would expect of any event of this size. But I can honestly say that (other than myself in that picture ) I don't think I saw or spoke with one person that was anything but thrilled with the entire experience.A wise person once told me that when you first attend MINI events, it's all about the event and the cars...the spectacle of it all, if you will. As time goes on and you attend additional runs/events you begin to realize it's not about the cars at all, really, but rather the people. Nothing speaks to that more than what we all shared this past weekend. Last edited by chs4; Jun 20th, 2006 at 06:43 PM.

Who's was the calssic Mini..? Was it Dan..? I really wish we could have ours over here... 4 more years to 'antique' status... maybe we should get another in the mean time... ![]() Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else.
