Wouldn't that be cool?!?!?

In all seriousness, if you'd like me to help them plan it out or even set it up so we can have a nice smooth flow instead of the near riot conditions we had last year..let me know... I'll be more than happy to help... PLEASE GOD, NO MORE RAIN! The first 3 MOT's it rained, give us a nice beautiful sunny day this year for once..

Actually the first MOT in 2003 was FABULOUS weather; since then it has gone down & down ... it will probably blizzard next summer

And just to reiterate for those that don't know; here's the thing about the tent/food/etc:

We don't pay anything for the tent

The tent at the base of the auto road is paid for by the running race earlier in the day. We pick the same day and the tent is there so we get to use it by default. But of course we cannot demand that it be vacated at any specific time. So we must wait for the running race to finish, before we can move it and start to set it up.

If we ever get good weather, it won't be such a problem.

that's understood by all of us, I'm sure I guess what I'm saying is if there is going to be some people who are designated to go in and set it up after the other event and get it ready for ours, I'd like to volunteer to go in and say "hey don't put all those raffle ticket tables so close to where everyone eats" or "how about we have the food line go this way so people aren't stepping on the toes of other people who have already gotten their food".. as well as actually help them with moving the tables and stuff..

more importantly, I was just busting balls in general..

it will all work out, we just need someone to actually coordinate that effort rather than just throw a abunch of stuff under a tent and try to jam 500 people under it and hope they are capable of acting in somewhat organized fashion on their own..

BTW:

Just out of curiosity, has anyone taken a survey to see if people would be willing to pay a little extra this year (on the order of maybe $10-15 more), so that we actually could have our own tent and not have to worry about the logistics of trying to get that stuff going together?..

Just a thought... I'd vote yes.. personally

Ahh spelling errors...one of the last remaining reasons to even look at mini2.

You fixed it, but not fast enough.

I had a ball at last years soggy event and wouldn't miss this years run to the top o' New England! I have registered for email notification like a good doobie, but I wish to pre register for pre registration at this time. I think the idea of an event similar to MoP's care for keith is excellent, in fact why not make it another fund raiser for this most courageous and worthwhile guy! Great to have something to take my mind off the acumulation of road salt that is slowly covering my ride. SIGN ME UP!

out of my mind.........back in five minutes.

And if you find out that deer spit leaves a shine like Zaino... Oops, is this the 'banter' thread or the 'official' one?
