I happened to be looking at the MINI accessory catalog yesterday and I believe they are $20, and they recommend not more than 2 so as to not restrict airflow to the radiator.

Should people order these badge holders ahead of time, or will one come w/ the MoT badge? Perhaps MoP would be willing to bring a bunch to sell there, or someone should do this so folks can ride home w/ their badge?

I'd sure hope you didn't use two of those particular badge holders. How would you attach the badge?

Michael,

Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like the badge you show in your pix have mounting hardware with them, yes?

I also saw the solid disc-type badge mounts in the MINI catalog but there didn't seem to be a part number associated with them.

Thanks Michael for posting the badge pics - I should have done it a couple of days ago but ...
Anyway, there is a collection of pics taken by Michael up on MINIsOnTop now, including this one which shows the badge mounted:

Ok...I'm going to ask this ridiculous question to get it out of the way...

What is the "proper" placement of the badge on the grille?

Attention wise crackers: I know that the shiny part goes on the outside.

But where on the grille is the "preferred" location. To the left, to the right, stand up, sit down, fight, fight, fight? Perhaps Michael's installation is demonstrating the proper placement...to the left of center grille?

Sincerely,

Flummoxed

They will come with basic hardware though I might recommend a bit of padding between the grill and the back of the badge to prevent scratches...maybe some foam core tape?
