I just updated the YC/A51 website to include links for lodging, dining, touring and other events located in the Yankee Candle area known as the Pioneer Valley. In addition, there is a linked Mapquest map of Yankee Candle that can be zoomed-out to view all the towns/cities in the Valley.

The Northampton and Amherst areas are steeped in early American history. They also have some of the finest restaurants in Western Massachusetts. You may wish to make a dining reservation in Northampton (consult the links) for Thursday night. Or you may want to visit the Amherst Town Common for "A Taste of Amherst" where local restaurants serve small portions of their most popular dishes to the people milling about the common. A very cool event with delicious food, fascinating people and (usually) great music!

Also, during the next month or so, go to The Iron Horse Entertainment Group to see what musical groups will be playing at the Iron Horse Music Hall, Calvin Theatre, and Pearl Street Nightclub.

Katherine and I will bringing our GRB 2006 MCS rag top to join up at Area 51.

Back in 1996, we went up the Toronto Miata Fest (we spent 10 years in two Miatas prior to the MINI). We joined up at Lewiston, NY, and it was a parade of ~ 20 Miata's filling up the lanes at Canadian customs. (Yes, sir, we were both born in the U.S. Yes sir, we're with them.)

Depending upon where you are in Vermont you could zip down 91 and joing us at the YC. Alternatively, you could meet up with the YC caravan on the road between the YC and Area 51 for a "greater and prolonged caravaning experience".

I'm right in the center in sunny Vermont. (Isn't that where all Australian's end up?). Not a bad idea to zip down 91, but I can't leave that early I'm going to work in the AM.
