Nothing against a little light Friday fun, but in a way I'm glad my control arm bushings failed and I had to go there - twice. Otherwise I could've been out of the rally.

BTW, Chris was wearing your T-shirt

A question

I've been thinking about signing up for this, however I don't have a navagator. I'm thinking that is essential. Is this correct? Anyone want to Navigate?

Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else.

I have gps but I don't think I'll be able to read directions and program it while I drive along.

But I'll sign up anyway.

I have the same question about the navigator thing. At the fall '04 MOP rally the navigator was mandatory...does that hold true for this one as well? Thx. Kim

I'd GUESS a navigator is not 100% essential - especially if you know the area - but I haven't seen the route.

At previous events, navigators have been found for cars with only a driver - I'd say come along anyway! In the extreme, maybe two driver only cars will have to share the drive (coin toss to decide which car?)

Blue Cooper No email reply here.

I signed up for this event a while back and never heard back from Paul. I just presumed that you emailed and that was it. Reading this thread makes me wonder whether I am really signed up or not. Would it be possible to post the list somewhere??

I really don't want to miss out on this! The rally last year was a blast!!

Still shoveling,

Joanne

Joanne,
I recommend you either email Paul or Gary and ask them to confirm you, or you could try calling MoP receptionist and see if (s)he will search down the list for you.

A note to everyone: this event is almost full already, with more than 70 cars listed when I saw Gary on Tuesday.

Ok...you got me...I'm signing up today. Oh and Ian, you're welcome about the raffle tickets, I'm happy to support MAW! I'll take another shot at it as well when more have been sold, I'd love to win that prize.

I realized I haven't booked a navigator...although I am sure I will just ask a friend a day or two before. It doesn't matter much. My GPS didn't help much (even with a navigator) because mine is too old to show street names that you are passing by.

What you really need is a navigator with a laptop and mobile internet access loaded with google earth.

With a live satellite downlink so you can track your own car as it drives along the roads? That would be cool
