I think the total names on my webpage is >100, due to email back-and-forth, etc. The biggest event at MoP before was about 80 cars and it was full so 100 will be interesting.

Gavin, the idea is not to send every car off together - cars arrive, grab their reg info, and head off, only to return some time later once they've collected all their poker cards. So there shouldn't be any need for traffic control.

Go to MINI of Peabody - not the Land Rover dealership. Again, because the plan is NOT to have everyone arrive and leave at the same moment, it should work (plus the Land Rover dealership will be full of MINIs moved from the MoP lot!)

Also, I sketched up a couple of maps of the area recently, showing the approximate route being driven on Sunday. Click on either pic for a bigger version if you want to print it. The turn-by-turn directions will be handed out when you arrive at MoP on Sunday morning ...

!! I thought the route was a closely guarded secret with checkpoints like last time.
I guess this isn't the same format then.

So we're basically just driving over to pavilion beach and back?

Now I'm not so worried about a lack of navigator.

There are no "checkpoints" but there are four places where you must stop and collect a playing card - the fifth will be given to you when you get back to MoP, then you can make your poker hand.

If you look carefully on the map, you'll see the stopping places marked.


One other hopefully fun aspect will be that, since some parts of the route are out and back the same way, and not everyone leaves MoP at the same moment, you'll get a chance to see / wave / flash MINIs coming in the other direction. Remember not to follow them though!
