Road Trip Anyone?

I'm considering a one-way cross country road trip from New Jersey to California in my BRG MINI via rt 40 and I was curious if anyone here wants to kill a week with me and share the motoring/gas/hotels for a once in a lifetime run across the USA. I figured the co-pilot can just jump a plane back... I'm going to be landing not too far from an airport.

I am likewise thinking of doing that trip, from Wilmington, NC to LA, in mid May, once I finally get my 2006 MCS. Pretty much 40 the whole way, but maybe 10 to go through Vegas. When were you thinking of going?
