Again still no response on the distraction. Afraid of what they did to John?

Look man - if you need to know -and i was under the impression y'all were joking - I was looking down at my ipod. No I have no kit.

But i did find the missing keypad cover to my cellphone in the pile of crumpled passenger window at the site today.

And the GP was just announced to be $31,150. I'm #2 on the list, AND I'm moving to a very close and convenient (bike distances) apartment in just short of 1 month.... I never thought i really was going to bite on it, but maybe that GP will be my next Cooper! Knocks wood!

John, it was karma.

BTW, no longer want the seats. Since the GP price is so reasonable, I ordered one. Not for me, but the hubby really wants one.

Wow Two GPs sold in less than an hour, in one thread!
The rest of us will remain jealous.

Wow, it's so sad to see a poor broken Mini - but at least you are ok, people are a bit more difficult to put back together than cars. A gentle reminder to us all to stay alert

Another Mini prooves its strength and the owner walks away.

Its hard to understand, but its just a car mate. Metal and plastic.

Get to thinking about its replacement. And also, as it was a very limited special edition, it would have held its value tremendously well, so dont let the insurance company tell you otherwise.

You know that USA doesn't get the nice GP seats, don't you?

GBMini, glad you survived the accident. Like what the others are saying, take care of your back. Go for physical therapy like what I did after I crackied a rib a few years ago.

That tree you hit is awfully close to the road! There's a tree like that on one of the narrow twisty roads near us. It's a joy to pass it close and not be hit by it because it leans over the road. All SUV's have to move to the other lane...pity to them...!

When you get your new Mini, show us the pictures!

Yes, I know the US doesn't get the Recaro seats. But you do have a point, the MC40 seats would look great in the GP, but I bet John has already thought of that.

Whoa John, I just saw this. I am sorry you wrecked but I am indescribably happy that you are okay. My schedule is wide open these days. Let me know if you need a ride anywhere.

What means "GP"?

John,

I'm glad you are OK. Get the back checked out (that's the doctor in me talking).
Glad to see that Che did his job and kept you safe. Lots of cosmetic damage to the outside, but looks like the cabin space was well maintained and the airbags deployed, hopefully keeping your squash from hitting too many solid objects in the cabin.

Those pics are chilling and amazing at the same time. Sad to see a beautiful car destroyed , but good to know that i'm driving what appears to be a very solid car.

Speedy recovery to you. Ice, Ice, Ice and Ibuprofen.

It doesn't look like you were the first to meet this tree John.
