I wish my car could be revived as easily as my cell phone...

I was told the tree is known to take a car a year.

Does it have paint chips in it's rings?

How's the back today, John?

better. i went to my first chiro appt ever today. maybe my last. more than a little shady.

the best therapy is a whirlpool in the morning, and a heating pad at night. it's the right side of my back.

There;s still a piece of plastic fender trim below the tree.

Green and white? Is that supposed to be noticable???

I would consider being all over the DPW for doing something about that. It is actually in the road.

I have some almost like that on my Rt. 16 commute. And I have seen trees halfway into the road in salem.

But wow what a beast..that thing could stop a train!

Glad you're better John. IMO, a good massage is better than a chiro.

Thumbs up Wow!!!! You're ok--more or less...

Don't peruse the boards as often and just found this. I am soooooo glad you are alive.

Special hugs to one of my very first MINI friends (Spring 2003). Take care and mend wisely. An accident like that could happen to any of us. Last Nov. a deer appeared out of nowhere in mid-air in my headlights. Fortunately for MINI Mick the deer moved when hit. The deer paid with her life and so should the tree. I am grateful that you are able to be talking to us!

The real question is "What music were you putting on/ listening to/ changing?"

Good idea, we should meet at this tree ( Mini Killer) with chainsaws and, slay this tree. Then we should take all the wood to tony's for burnin mini and burn it. We could all dance in the smoke or just sit and watch it burn from the comforts of our chairs.

Now that sounds like a plan!

We'd have to be very quick about it...and careful. There are powerlines very close by.

Yeah, cut down the tree, but why not put a huge sign on saying "This tree is dangerous to your car!" with flashing lights streaming around it.

I got a realy funny movie clip, but I'll send it to you to your mailbox. I don't know how to attach movie clips in this reply. But you better not laugh too hard or you'll bust your back again...!

I was looking to find something other than the newest Yeah Yeah Yeahs CD (in the deck) to listen to.

John: Find a different chiropactor. I've gone to one every 2 weeks since just before christmas when I hurt the sciatic nerve in my back. Locked me up to where I could'nt stand, sit or lie down. what a pain! the chiroprator uses an electrical stimulus and some massage to bring down the swelling an make the pain disappate. It's hard to stop going there! (I think it's helped my golf game also)

Maybe we should have a (MINI) flower run and a show of uninimity to get rid of the tree

The movie clip ended up with me - so I put it up on GBMINI.net; easier for people to download than receive 3MB in their mailbox! It is funny and worth watching

One of the MOT sponsors has an MC40 for sale John, if you don't want to spend the extra on the GP...

Not that you had great luck with Che, but someone else has had the teething troubles with this one.
