Anyone get an invite from Keeler Mini to see the movie "Cars" at the Malta drive in? The invite says meet at Keller Mini at 5pm June 17 and then group rally up to the Malta drive in. Keeler will be buying the admission tickets for us. Also, there will be a special Mini parking section, free food and drinks. RSVP by June 14. I think this is for people who bought a Mini from Keeler.

Ayone else thinking of going?

I RSVPed Keeler to say I won't be going because of MOT. My dealer was shocked when I told him I won't be able to go. I will be going to the Lime Rock EVENT!!! woo hoo!

We're planning to go to see Cars w/Keeler - but - our '06 is on order and we are selling our '03 CVT this month and it is possible that in between those two we may not have a MINI to take us to the show. We may have to go in our SAAB convertible - oh no!

Now there is some forward thinking - Horseshoe Pub has Speckled Hen on tap!
I've tagged a number of MINIs recently in the Soloman Mall lot with MOT stuff so there is a movie going MINI crew in the area. I'm game - If there is interest in this I can talk to group sales and maybe we could get a theater for ourselves...
For those who think this is a really good idea (the horseshoe Pub part definately is) Soloman Pond Mall is at the junction of 290 and 495 - so its close to everyone

Can someone spin off a new thread for the potential non-Keeler Cars screening? I might be tempted to go if we can keep things north of Boston. I did the "Italian Job" screening years ago, but those trips back to VT from south of Boston suck.

Hudson is west of Boston and right on 495. The drive to Burlington, Vt is not too bad but it's like 4 hours to hudson.

I hear that there is a jazz festival this weekend in Downtown Burlington. Sounds interesting.

DH, Scooty, and I made it to the show. A grand total of 103 Mini's showed up, they brought sandwiches from Roma, and gave us gift certificates for the snack bar. Keeler really does put on a good event. It was fun to see all the incredulous looks from the non-Mini drivers as they entered the drive in.

Also, the movie was very cute.

Glad they did their customers proud - but I really wish they hadn't clashed with the premier north east MINI event. Did they really have no clue about MINIsOnTop?
