Update!

Hey! Update for everyone!

Since the MoP event is happening the 8th and plenty other events are happening in October, I'm trying to find the best time to find a day to go picking.

Honestly, I still really want to go out there, since it is ALWAYS a good time, so I'm going to collide dates with the Lake Champlain/Covered Bridge Run and set the date for OCTOBER 1st. This is a SUNDAY.

What do I need to do? You say?

PLEASE PLEASE post on here and let me know if you want to go. I want to at least have some kind of head count, just so I can say to the George's Hill people how much of an area we'll need... also, good to know if I'll be going stag or not too...

So! What do you guys say?

~ Sheeb

Hi Sheena,

Do you know what time you expect the event to start?

That weekend is a big up-in-the-air for me, but if the other things don't happen I would be interested.

Ooops! A time would be good. I usualy have always gone there in the afternoon, so we'll probably leave from the meeting place (which will be determined depending who comes) around 1:30ish. It is about a 45 minute drive, so we'd arrive aorund 2:30pm.

So, to answer the question: We'll either get there or meet up there at 2:30pm

The hunt will be easy... just look for the cheesy boy-racer with the big blue shopping cart handle on the back.

Question is, what will you do with him when you catch him?

Another Update!

I was able to drive out to the orchard today and talk to one of the owners. She said they would be more than willing to host us MINIs and said she would even set aside a "MINI designated" parking area right near the main barn!

Also -- I drove the route I made up out there... lots of fun twisties! Should be even better on a Sunday!

Josh -- If you "were" able to make it out, would you need to know if you can bring your pup along? I can give the orchard a call and see if need be.

Yea that would be good to know.
Even if it was like blueberries and we couldn't bring her into the orchard that is fine.

Is there an ice cream stand somewhere in the vicinity? That might tempt the others out of hiding.

As a matter of fact, there is! Right off Rt. 117 - Herbert's Candies and Chocolates Mansion! They have their own "Make your own sundae" bar to go along with your ice cream! If people want, we can head there after apple picking. I'd be more than willing to lead the way to ice cream!
