Pete, I've been working on an improved belt tension tool which I am going to bring up for you to use. Not only do I want to see if it works, but I want to see HOW it works!!! Jock

Is there some way to adjust alignment yourself, or do you really nead a big frikkin' laser system? Of course it wouldn't be as accurate, but maybe to help a big alignment issue?

Sure... do some searching on the old interweb for string box and alignment. For slightly more sophisticated do it yourself stuff, look here:

http://www.saferacer.com/toeplw.html
http://www.saferacer.com/macacaga.html
http://www.saferacer.com/lodiccgawaca.html

Not that I'm recommending people perform their own alignments. I wouldn't do it myself...

Those are just measurement tools... I meant, is it as simple as turning some adjustment bolts one way or the other for each variable?

Pat, Pat, Pat............

must everything be about innuendo (in you endo) oh wait..........it's you. Hey, get A JOB , SLACKER,and stop spending so much time on line making wisecracks....er ,ah............. never mind.

And it's NOT a new tensioner, just a remake of the original so it won't break all the time.

out of my mind.........back in five minutes.

What do you think the laser is for at the fancy shops?

Well, on the early MINIs, pretty much the only thing you can change is the front toe. And that's done by just using two jam nuts on the tie rods. Look at a picture of some adjustable control arms and you'll see the general idea (although some of those use a turnbuckle type adjustment). So yeah, it's almost as simple as turning some adjustment bolts one way or the other. But, they all interact to an annoying degree. It's not as nice as "this adjustment changes toe and nothing else".

You can put me in for a sway bar install. Doesn't much matter what time...MAMA girls only party in the works for that weekend.

Hey all. I'm busy busy and didn't read all the posts about this...but many. Are there any pulleys left? If so, can my name (Joel) be put on one. I want mine around the antenna, for better reception.

In all seriousness, if there aren't any for sale, can i "aquire" one and have it installed on the pulley party...is there time left.
