Sorry if this is a dumb question, but where's this thing actually located? The MoP site says something about Centennial? Is this event at the MoP MINI dealership?

Not at the MINI dealership. About 5 minutes away at their big BMW service center on Centennial Drive (a business park nearby). Someone else can step in with directions, as it's a mess.

You need the Simple Pink to make your wheels clean and flowery fresh first!

Too late for the daily wheels:

But the track wheels are sitting there waiting to be cleaned...

Yes you all have fun! Unfortunately, I have a nasty cold/bronchitis & can't get too excited about anything, or I'll cough my head off.

Get well soon. Hope it's not the same thing Laurie and I have. It's been almost a month and we're still not quite over it.

doesn't get any better than that.....

I had an absolute blast! this was my first foray into autocross and perhaps my last .There is something about beating the ever loving snot out of a car that you have really grown to like. I commited the cardinal sin in my first run after lunch: TURN THE DSC OFF, STUPID! my best run of the day was 22.70 seconds and I couldn't seem to get er done any better than that. The day's best run was done by a full blown BMW race car (Z3?) at 20 seconds, so I didn't feel too bad and the same guy driving Pat's car came close to that again . I won a hat and had a good couple o' hamburgers.Kudos to Paul, Gary and the entire rest of the crew at MoP . there were a couple of classic minis, a cool lotus super 7 and a lotus elise (who's driver was clueless how to drive it ) Wish I had unlimited cash and time to really pursue this . Jock

out of my mind.........back in five minutes.

Great day!

It was a beautiful, perfect sunny day for such a wonderful event! Thanks to Paul, Gary, and everyone else who made it possible and fun! It was my first (and most likely NOT) attempt at autocrossing and I felt it went quite well! Not the fastest times of the day, but I improve each run through and even got to beat... I mean drive... Brian's MINI (thanks Brian!) Also, thanks Jock for letting me test out your short shifter. Perhaps once I get the tranny taken care of, I can start a few mods.

Great day and great people!

Yeah, I had a really good time too. It was also my first autocorss type thing. My best time was 23.044. I have a Cooper S auto and it shifted into 2nd gear a couple of times, which slowed me down a tiny bit. I'm amazed at what these cars can do stock. I think the best time was 19.7xx done in the z3 race car. I think the fastest MINI was ~20.4xx.
