Yeah that sounds about right.

If ANYONE harms NIBBLES, you'll be reading about it in the next day's headlines...

Doogie, maybe install a flashing brake light mod on it this time? It might reduce your monthly rear-end collision rate by 50%.

You aren't kidding...I picked up my HB/W MCS at MoP. Nearly got rear-ended on the Mass Pike near the exit ramp for 84. Thankfully, I pulled into the shoulder. If I hadn't I'd have been very unhappy...

Have you heard my story over the summer?

LateMay: T-boned in the driver-side door by a mustang GT. It was going the opposite direction, clipped an SUV, jack-knifed, hopped over a curb, scraped a van, THEN hit me.

I was sitting at a red light.

Late June: School is over and I finally have some time to get my MINI repaired. Before that though, on the way to work I get rear-ended. The very right corner of the bumper is smashed in. Exhaust is beat to hell. The plastic wheel well is cracked and drubbing against the tire. Something in the axle is rattling around.

I was sitting at a red light.

August 11th: After over a month of repair work from both accidents, I FINALLY have my MINI back. I pick it up on Teusday August 8th. I'm rear-ended on the way to work just three days later.

I was sitting at a red light.

The jerk doesn't admit liability. The damages were so minor no police report is filed, and becuase it's under my deductible, my insurance company won't be persuing it. Now I have to take the guy to small claims court.

I pray my new one has some better karma...

You should have got Pepper White or Chili Red - something bright enough that maybe you get seen!

I seem to remember a recent study that showed that drivers tended to steer toward bright or blinky objects, like cop cars with flashing lights sitting by the side of the road. Was a major source of concern with the crown vic cop cars with the explodo-gas tanks.

Doogie, Ricardo can outfit your new Mini with a nice set of pads. The best thing is they've never been hit, since he's been using them to play goalie!
Good luck with the new Mini!!

Congrats on your new Mini, and best of luck to you both! I think Bert may be on to something with the goalie pads.
