Wait 'til you get to five, that's when you get really excited!! We've got the Wings tonight, and they are looking to set a franchise record 10 straight W's. It is going to be a sweet game. But what is happening to the league? The Bruins with three, the Dogs (on peyote) now have two....I guess Gretz can give himself some rope.

Tonight the streak will stop. I am going to be at the game and the Caps never lose when I go! It would have been interesting to see whose mojo was stronger if you came to the game with Olie didn't take my dream advice apparently letting in 4 goals. But they were all "back door" goals with him squared off to another shooter. So I can forgive him. ![]() "Buy you a soda after the game?"

I am currently giving Olie a brutal "psychic attack" which will so deeply demoralize him that he will be unable to stop even a slowly rolling beachball tonight! I will resume my diabolic psychic attacks tonight when the puck drops, alternating between Olie and Ovie. They will both be quivering in a psychiatric ward by the time I'm done with them!-Ricardo

TIMMY! My psychic attack worked so well that Olie couldn't even play, they had to use Johnson! Cower in fear at my amazing psychic abilities! Four wins in a row. I gotta go lie down now, I'm lightheaded from excitement. -Ricardo PS went to the UVM-Merrimack game tonight (4-1 Vermont, of course), got back just in time for OT of the Bruins game. I'll watch the rest of it on "Bruins in Two" on NESN at midnight. A good hockey night for me. And did you see that save Roloson had in the first period of the Detroit-Edmonton game? Holy crap. Look it up in the game highlight video on nhl.com if you missed it. Beauty, eh?

Quiet you! I think Johnson was always going to get the start. I really thought there was going to be a fight tonight. There was a lot of frustration on both sides. I also think tose zamboni's put out too much water, lots of slipping on both sides. I am looking at this game as a game that the Bruins couldn't have won without the Power Play. I was pleasantly surprised at the reception that Louis and I got at the game (we were in our caps jerseys). We got a Caps Suck and a F*** the Caps. But that was about all. We did get a lot of "are you really Caps fans?" Is it that hard to believe? We met some fellow Caps fans on the concourse and was able to share a bit (warm fuzzy moment). Couple of questions though... 1) Was the original Garden painted in the Celtics scheme and that's why there is so much yellow? 2) Do you know of a song called "the good ol' hockey game"? They play it at the 2nd intermission at home (Verizon Center). We were hoping they'd play it here. 3) Why is the Bruins logo a circle with a B in the middle? Seems strange since it's really a bear. 4) Louis wants to know if you would (as a goalie) like to a have a good D in front of you that doesn't allow a lot of shots or whether you would like to "be more involved" in the game? Thanks for turning us on to the MOS (museum of science). Wasn't a bad walk and it was a quick exit. ![]() "Buy you a soda after the game?"

1) The original Garden had even more yellow than the current one. Maybe yellow paint was cheap back in old-timey days. 2) "The Hockey Song (The Good Old Hockey Game)" is by Stompin' Tom Connors. The good old hockey game, Is the best game you can name; And the best game you can name, Is the good old Hockey game! 3) The origins of the "Spoked B" logo are in the city of Boston's old nickname of "The Hub", a.k.a. "The Hub of the Universe". Hence the current promotional campaign "The Hub of Hockey". The Hub of the Universe Marker, Washington and Summer Streets Boston 4) It's a balance. You want a good D that will limit shots to a reasonable level, you don't want to get inundated and get worn down. But if the shots get too few and far between, you get cold and tight and your head gets out the game, you lose focus. So it's a double edged sword. It's a fine balance, I play goalie because I like to stop shots, if I'm not facing any shots then I'm bored. But if I'm getting hammered and my D is non-existent, that kinda loses it's fun as well. Bonus round: The Garden pa announcer has been doing the "wooo!" after goal announcements for years now. I don't recall when/how it started.... -Ricardo

Great game between the Rangers and the Bolts. Louis thought it was a bit lopsided. It's a shame to lose a shutout so close to the end of regulation but such is life. I thibnk they did a great job shutting down Lecavalier and St. Louis. Shocked about the game misconduct on Tortorella. ![]() "Buy you a soda after the game?"

Missed most of the game (had my own game to play, we won 4-3, we're on a five game winning streak now, woo-hoo), but I got home in time to see one of my wondertwins, Eric Perrin (UVM '97), score the goal to break up the shutout. I just loved how the MSG announcer was literally just saying King Henrik had a shutout at the very moment Perrin scored. Brilliant. I gather it was subsequent to a disallowed goal by Perrin that Torts blew his top. Not shocked. With a couple UVMers on the team, I watch a lot of Lightning games, so I'm well aware that he's a guy who definitely wears his heart on his sleeve, and he's good for vesuvian blow up from time to time. Most games, even if they're winning, he gets a good smoldering burn going, but if they're behind that's when the eruption happens. If the benches weren't bolted down, I'm pretty sure he'd have chucked one on the ice by now. Funny, too, because from what I saw in the highlights, it looks like the goal was correctly disallowed, he kicked it in. Oh well. -Ricardo

Sigh. The great streak is over, the Bruins might not win the Cup after all. Still, Timmy played well enough to earn third star of the game, made some spectacular saves and had one really looking face plant after getting his legs swept out from under him. His cage actually left a divot in the ice on the face plant. Yikes. -Ricardo
