Finally found the solution to attaching Lucky Duckys to Lucky. Despite the high temp. today being 27 F. I had success with Devcon two part "2 Ton Epoxy". Working
range of -60 to +200 F.
The 15 or so ducks in this experiment have stuck nicely. I think I can proceed with attaching the remaining spoken for ducks tomorrow.
**Notice the lack of snow on the ground...loveitloveitloveit!!

Ooh! Ooh! Which one's mine? Which one's mine?? They look great! But I hope they don't impede the gas mileage too badly - I'd hate to see you lose the rally because of air resistance from the multiple duckies!

I use that stuff all the time. Great way to evacuate anyone within smelling range.

Hmm, that could be handy if you're trying to clear the vehicle to get the seat you want!

only problem is that once you get the seat, you won't be able to get out of it.

out of my mind.........back in five minutes.

A. That's not why they'll lose.
B. Wouldn't it require getting over 45 mph to blow the ducks off the beast?

or, new expression for BABE -- instead of "Blow the doors off" it's "Blow the ducks off."

One Lucky Ducky was not so lucky as it went bye bye about 100 yards east of the Sagamore Bridge on Saturday afternoon! I guess the new fly-over worked!
Fortunately there are photos and I can figure out which duck flew the coop.

Many thanks to all the great folks at the MOP unveiling who jumped in with cash
donations. $320- came in that night and they got to customize their Lucky Ducks.
Good news is that Bill will be partially retro covered with Mass Health! Hooray! They will still have in excess of $20,000 out of pocket which makes our contributions even more note worthy.
Those of you who saw Bill on Friday night could see that he is doing well. His eye still looks like hell but his spirit is great and many of you are contributing to those high spirits.
I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't have a signature sheet for all the good people who donated Friday night. I can't thank you by name but you know who you are and we thank you very much.

Lucky drove like a champ up and back. Got lots of looks, comments and rubber necking as Lucky chugged along. Can't wait for warmer weather to properly attach all
500 of them!!

We stayed in Danvers Friday night. As we were walking through the hotel lobby to the bar -where else?- he was looking slightly right and barreled into an older short guy He can't see out of the eye very well yet, and perhaps never may, but we won't hope for that outcome.

Joe is searching for newer used rubber for Lucky. I'm not confident about the haul to the Big Easy with a couple of those tires. Maybe he can find some nice spinners in the Clair cast offs?

I was surprised, Steve, how much better Bills eye looked last night at Herb Chambers than Friday night at MINI of Peabody - I think it must be the stress of travelling with you that causes the redness

You're most likely correct!
How was the HC MINI ho-down? Good food? Good people? How about a MOP/HC Comparo?

Personally, I think this was a smart duck.

The R56 events at MINI of Peabody and Herb Chambers MINI were both excellent and pleasingly different
At MoP, as you know, we really got to check out the exterior/interior of the cars, have fun with Hammer & Coop, etc. And we stayed warm.
In contrast at the HC event we didn't get to really see the cars because they were all being driven on two autoX tracks - but getting a ride as passenger in a car driven by Skip Barber folks was very impressive & fun (see the video on GBMINI.net)

In neither event did we really have a chance to drive the R56 in any serious way. So I'll be waiting for your reports Steve, once you get the new MINI

Joe and Jock,
The most important meeting of your BABE Rally participation is this evening.
It is critical that you attend. If you aren't there you will be off the team and
all money, etc. will be forfeited directly to me.
