Red Cooper BBQ Fun 12/17/06

As you all have probably noticed by now, I am quite fond of making up things to do.

Well, this time is no different. Now, I KNOW that the holidays are swiftly approaching and I know that time will be as valuable as shovels after the first Nor'Easter, so I'll try to be understanding...

There will be a gathering for lunch at:
Famous Dave's BBQ on Rt. 1 (heading south) in Saugus
Sunday, December 17th at 12:30pm
Website here: Famous Dave's Barbeque Ribs and Sauces

I've been there once before and they have THE BEST BBQ samplers and different BBQ'd meats ever. Hands down (IMHO).

**For those who would like to take a run before lunch: We will be meeting up at 11am in the parking lot/park across the street from the State Police on Soldier's Field Road(before Storrow Dr. becomes Storrow Dr.) If you are confused where, let me know!**

Look forward to seeing people there!

I think there was a Famous Dave's near my school in MD. They have a cart of like 6 different BBQ sauces on the table I'd be up for a get-together. I'm busy the 16th, but so far open any other day.

I ate there a few months ago. If I remember right the meat was a little dry but the flavor was good and so were the sauces. Prices great for all you got. I'd say a notch above Blue Ribbon, several more above red bones.

I'm certainly up for meeting there. Currently I'm booked for the 9th but the others work.
Similar to the Fudruckers meet-up of yore, hopefully this time with even more snow.

I'd be up for any of those days; currently I don't have anything booked. And I looooove BBQ. *drool*

What's with the food posts today?

I love BBQ, but I'm just up for a meeting to break up the winter doldrums.

Sorry Annette!

I decided to set up the 17th for a lunch time gathering...I really would like to go as well and unfortunately I work on Saturday, so the 17th is the only bet.

I made it a lunch so that if people have dinner guests, they can still see them (or visa versa).

If your prior engagement is a dinner ordeal, maybe you can still attend?

No, it's kind of an all-day cook-a-thon. Oh this just adds to my misery!

Hey I got an idea. Lets put the names of all those who are attending this little shindig in a hat, then at the end of lunch we all pull 1 name out of the hat and.............................. we go and lick the BBQ sauce off that persons face.

Am I a genius or, what.

We'll try to plan another one after the holidays... and we'll make sure you aren't doing a cook-a-thon.

Was it's Pat's idea that clinched it for you? *shudder* I could just bring my dogs, then we wouldn't have to limit who gets their face licked!
