| Yes, it does. Just got my 07 Cooper at the w/e and had read on the forums here that it plays mp3........just popped a disc in with about 150 mp3s on and it plays fine. Even better, it lists track titles on the display. if you spin the track selector knob you get a nice random selection and get to see the title before it plays. Delighted - am off to burn some more mp3 discs! |

| I do believe thought that the early (pre 2010) R56's ability to play MP3s is a coding option that become available later as it is specifically required for the iPod adapter (together with the CD changer coding option) So why it can be updated to do so it may not come with every R56 out there. Post 2010 R56 should have it as standard. |
