If there's a whistle, hat, and white gloves - I'm in for the Loon lot!

I guess I'd volunteer without the uniform, too.

Thanks Jason. There is no whistle, no hat, and no white gloves - just fame and fortune

And, another call for "first responder" volunteers to join Cathleen and me. You need to be current in your first aid certification but you do not need AED certification. Please PM me if you're interested.

So, if you had a hankerin' (wonder where that phrase came from?) to help out MOT in some way, here are your opportunities:

1) Packing Day in Bedford, MA, May 26th - contact Gavin (GadetGav)
2) Food Helpers at Base Tent, Saturday June 16th - contact Ivan (snek)
3) Traffic Control folks, Loon and Base, Saturday June 16th - contact Ivan (snek)
4) Medical first responders (need FA Certification), Loon and Base, Saturday June 16th - contact Theo (Theo)
5) General Volunteers, Friday and/or Saturday - contact Theo (Theo)

Shameless Guilt Paragraph

Folks, this is a volunteer-run event and we do need volunteers. A lot of work is being done by just a few people at this point...and we are getting a bit crispy around the edges! Even if you can spare an hour or so at the Base or at Loon, please let us know. It is a great way to give back to the event, to enhance the enjoyment of others, and to prevent a core group of folks from over medicating themselves. Thank you for your support!

Theo

Yes, but it does take a lucid and inventive mind to train the two hairs on the top of my noggin to do that!

Like Richard was doing such a good job from keeping me getting crispy - Should we have volunteers for that???

I'd just like to express my thanks to all the volunteers, existing and yet-to-raise-their-hands ... Theo, you're doing a wonderful job of steering the event; thank you

[now I'll go back to printing 2000+ (double sided) sheets of registration paperwork!]

The Free Dictionary sez: intr.v. han·kered, han·ker·ing, han·kers
To have a strong, often restless desire.
[Perhaps from Dutch dialectal hankeren; see konk- in Indo-European roots.]

And speaking of volunteers - I'm still looking for someone staying at the Top Notch...

This would require an entire team of volunteers , and frankly I don't think they could be assembled and trained by June 15th.

How can you be in two places at once, when you're not anywhere at all ?

I think it was, "Now Michael, I don't care if the label on your beer matches your hat, you still have to share."

I was on top of as many beers as possible (though not while in the MINI...)
