| Sounds like it was a great event - sorry I missed it! Yellowmininy, i like the nice tie-dyed shirt - very stylish! I'm jealous that you had clear skies up on top - that is an amazing view, and last year it was clouded over. I was disappointed to see that our Trivia team didn't come out as the winners - you must have missed me! I've enjoyed seeing the pictures though, and it looks a like a good time was had by all! |

| 1st MOT was awesome! What an experience our 1st MOT was!! We had such a great time, thanx to all yellow hats and organizers for such a fun weekend! We actually ended up taking over 600 pictures. We weeded out the best ones of the bunch, so we've posted 180 on Flickr. Pics start at Area 51 through the rte #3 drive to Gorham (yes we did get pulled over by a bicycle cop!). BTW, what happened to the last half of the group??. Also, included was the hunt for meeses, the Loon lot festivities, drive up the Kang., and finally the Mt Washington feast and drive. We'll see you all next year!! Enjoy, Nancy and Dave nkanner1's slideshow on Flickr |

| I have only two words for this weekend: Absolutely Spectacular I never expected the abundance of revelry that I experienced, specifically with people that I had just met. Between the official and unofficial events that I participated in while at MoT, I never once thought that I wanted to be anywhere else. MINI owners are certainly one of a kind, and I'm so glad that I made the leap to become part of the family. Thanks to all the organizers, volunteers, and anyone that was involved in making my first MoT experience absolutely wonderful, and certainly not the last. | It's always fun to get home and start reading these great posts about MOT and to check out the many many fantastic pictures from the event. I wish we were still there. At the risk of missing someone: Thanks Ian and Margaret for an incredible amount of work and for your usual good cheer. Thanks Steve for all the ducks and for keeping the spirit alive (and happy birthday). Thanks Michael, Theo, Beth, Lois, Ivan, Harvey, Joe, Debbie, Terri, Norine, Carol, Chip, Jason, Pete, Pam, Mike, Ariane, Aaron (and his cute daughter), Ricardo, Jeff, Sarah, Angus and darn, whoever I forgot. You're all fine people, and that's way more important than the cars. Thanks Libby & Bill for a really trivial night. Thanks Angela for sharing the ride up and down the mountain. Thanks to everyone who attended and shared the fun (especially first-timer Sasha, my very cool niece). Thanks to our sponsors and supporters and MINI USA. Thanks to Loon Mountain for their hospitality, and to the Lin-Wood Lumberjacks for the car wash. By the way, I asked them how many cars they did, and they lost track. More important, they said they couldn't tell from the money, because EVERYONE was so generous. I'm really proud to be part of this event. Thanks to the gang who helped me avoid shlepping 8 bottles of champagne and a lot of beer back to Cambridge. You know who you are. Thanks to all the porcupines in New Hampshire who stayed out of my way all weekend. ![]() |

| Many kudos to the MoT organizers and volunteers. A special thanks to whichever one of you has enough influence with the Abenaqui to arrange for such an outstanding weather gift from "Great Spirit" Agiocochook. After some quality time at Loon with old (and some new friends), my sons and I headed for the Attitash alpine slide. We took the first run at speed just for you, Pat! Unfortunately the day ended sooner than we planned. In pursuit of a perfect "up the tree" camera shot of all 250 MINIs at the access road, Paul reached for just one branch too high. Branch snapped off in his hands and he fell backwards about 6 feet to the ground. Lucky the branch didn't wack his head, but he did land on his right elbow. He tried valiently to brush it off, but I could still see the pain deep in his eyes after 30-40 minutes. So we opted to spend some quality time in the ER instead of heading both cars up the old rock pile. Oh well, the elbow is now set in a cast and should be fine in 3-4 weeks. I do hope someone else was able to enjoy the summit in our places. |
