As you may have already heard, MINIS On Top 2008 will be held on Saturday, June 28th!

Yes, this is a week later than our usual weekend, but it allow us to work around unusually high occupancy levels at our favorite lodging establishments. As you know, the White Mountains have become even more popular as a group travel destination! Thus, reserving blocks of rooms is getting increasingly more difficult to schedule...and rates are going up!

Ready for a surprise? This weekend change also means we will not be in contention for use of the tent at the Auto Road! Mary Power has informed us that they will hold the tent for a week so that we may have its exclusive use on Saturday. Start those ideas percolating!

Now the IMPORTANT STUFF...Pay Attention...

We have been able to block-out only 68 rooms at the Town & Country Motor Inn (800-325-4386). This represents fewer rooms at the T&C that we usually are able to block-out. However, the kind folks at the Royalty Inn (800-437-3529) are also offering us similarly priced accommodations and we are working with them to block-out rooms for MOT. MOT rates at the two establishments are comparable, about $90 for two queen/double beds and about $85 for a single queen bed.

So...BOOK NOW!

With rooms at the T&C limited, and the Royalty's availability not yet guaranteed, attendees will need to book their MOT weekend much earlier this year than in previous years. So get your head out of this email and start calling for rooms!

We had made our reservations for next year as we were departing this year. I just called T&C to change the reservation to the new date and was informed that any MOT participants who had pre-booked a year ahead, has automatically been moved to the June 27-28th. I would think it would still be worth a call, but it's good to know that they had done this automatically.

My subscription lapsed a few months ago and I haven't gotten around to renewing. Is MC2 sold in stores or is it subscription only? I'd like to see a copy of the MOT article.

It is available on a few newsstands, and I think still shipped in volume to your local mini dealer.
