With the Fifth Annual MOT coming up, we're bound to have a lot of noobies here, and I thought it would be nice to welcome them by introducing ourselves. This will also be helpful for old guys who can't remember who anyone is. (If this works, maybe we can earn a sticky.)
Let's try to keep meaningless chatter at a minmum here. Include a picture of yourself, car optional, and whatever brief intro you want. Don't be shy.
I'll start...
I'm Richard F., and I live in Cambridge, MA (hence the screen name, rf in Peoples Republic of Cambridge). I've got 2 kids (20-yr. old girl at Colby College and a 17-yr. old boy at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High). I'm an itinerant project manager -- my current gig is a building purchase and rehab for Mudflat Pottery School in Somerville (my wife Lynn is the Director there).
MOT07 will be my fifth -- MOT03 is where I first started meeting the MINI gang. If you come (you won't regret it) you'll see me holding the bullhorn at the Loon Lot Driver's Meeting.

I'm Ricardo, now on my second MINI, I live up in Vermont, single and childless (as far as I know), and I've been doing this MOT thing since it started as well, from a relatively little picnic with 60 or so to the big MOT-a-palooza it is now. That's me on the left below...

Well done Richard! Bravo!
I'm Jock H. , I live in Newburyport at the mouth of the mighty Merrimack River (where it comes out to form the Atlantic ocean) I'm a senior opto-mechanical tech for a company in Wilmington called L-3. Below is a photo of me and my honey . My beard is long gone, didn't like the grey/white look , but you get the idea. Let the games officially begin..........oops, oh yeah this is supposed to be a serious thread. Don't blame me, I grew up in Cambridge quite close to where Richard lives now.
Great idea, Richard! I'm Brian, a recently transplant to the area. '07'll be my first MoT and I'm really looking forward to it! I've also got no strings to hold me down (ie: single), but I do have two members of the canine persuasion constantly trying to eat me out of house and home (and occasional slipper).
I'm YellowMiniNY, AKA Cathleen, though I come from a large family & will usually answer to anything. I am from Rochester, NY, and I missed the 1st MOT but have hit the next 3. I have a 26 year old daughter (who is a lawyer, sob!) and work for a hospital.
If I've borrowed this picture correctly, it was taken by Harvey at MOT 2006.
My name is Annette, and I no longer own that waste of metal I called Vinny. I live in Middletown, CT with my demon kitty, Ruthie. I work for the water company making maps, and am the resident cook/baker for rallies. Will there be calzones at MOT this year???
Hi there. I'm Sheena V. I am technically a new MINI owner... I ordered my '06 Chili Red/Black MCS the beginning of June and took delivery at the end of July. I have a passion for horses and you can probably identify my MINI by all the horse related "identification marks". I live in Belmont, MA and work at Angell Memorial in JP.
Hi, I'm Steve from Hamden, CT. Also a newbie. Got my HB/W MCS end of July 06. Spend my days working on helicopter flight controls. See my silly picture below taken on the ferry ride from NY to VT. I'm only in the picture by accident.
I'm Ivan and I am a speeder. I also periodically annoy everybody here with debates on various motorist issues. Below is my Preemie when it was only a week old in front of my house. I had my gallbladder then.
Hi I'm Joe R. this will be my wife Debbie and mine 5th MoT.We have 2 MINI's.We just recently moved to the south shore of Mass. from Belmont.I work for a large auto dealer group in the Boston area.My wife is a high risk mental health case manager at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mass.We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new one's...
