| Because you will be using an FRS channel, you do not need a license to operate on it. However your GPRS radio may or may not transmit at the higher GPRS wattage on that channel which technically requires the license. Of course, no one will know any better, because the wattage still is not that high, and you are on an FRS frequency. Much less, no one will care. I'll have my ham radio with me too and perhaps I'll bring along my CB so I can spy on the OSMC folks who like to talk behind everyone else's backs.. |

| I was informed by the FCC that anyone owning a radio that has the capability of broadcasting on GMRS channels needs a license, regardless of the channel they are on. I guess they are covering all the bases by licensing according to "capability" and not "channel". Of course, this was four years or so ago. Strictly FRS-only radios are free from licensing. | Traffic update for Bushnell's Basin For anyone who may be coming to Bushnell's Basin down Rt. 490 (towards Victor) be aware that the normal Bushnell's Basin (Rt. 96) exit is closed in that direction. Easiest way to get to the Basin is to take Exit 26 onto Rt. 31 (Pittsford-Palmyra Rd.) Bear right at the top of the exit onto Rt. 31 At the second light take a right onto Kreag Rd. Follow Kreag Rd. to the end and take a right onto Rt. 96 into Bushnell's Basin See you in the AM. - dl |

| I'm still gunna talk this over with Dave, but the winds are blowing against me on the way back from rochester and it would slow me down a lot, and then you'd have to wait for me, which i don;t want to have you all do, ....I could take pictures and leave before you all leave, but a few MINIs parked in the parking lot isn't the same as if they were motoring along.......I'll try durring another event though, hopefully the winds will be in my favor ;-) Sorry to get all your hopes up, but I'll see you all in a few Happy and safe Motoring!
