Hi Everyone, I know it's been forever and a day since I've been here. Pat is doing well, he has gotten stronger as far as arm movement. He still can't move anything below his elbows but we refuse to give up. He has had consistent movement in his left big toe. This is good news because that means a signal is getting from the brain down to the toe. I also wanted to let you know we are having our Labor Day party on Sunday, Sept 6th if anyone is interested. We will have burgers, dogs and chips otherwise it is BYOB and a small dish of something to share. Hope you can make it, we miss everyone.

I am awfully sorry to here about this tragic accident & I hope I speak for all Mini Manics on this forum & wish you and your family well. Unfortunately I live on the wrong side of the pond as you would say or I would be there to support your event.

Pat & Ang, keep up the good work. My mom will be going home from stroke rehab that weekend, and she's been able to recover some right leg function. Maybe with some work she may get some right hand function back. I know it's a lot of hard work, but keep at it, and we're all thinking of you! ![]()

Thanks Rick you guys have fun and your always invited down. If you ever want to plan a trip ti RI you have a place to stay. Kathleen, so sorry to hear about your mom. I will keep her in my prayers, they are doing some wonderful stuff with stroke patients. Since Pat's accident I read alot of different studies and it is incredible. Thank you for your well wishes PK5. Maybe someday you'll get to the states and meet us crazy NE mini owners.

Hi Everyone, haven't been here in awhile but I thought I would give you all a quick update on Pat's progress. He is doing quite well, he has had lots of new sensations and some new movements. He is still moving his left big toe but he has started to twitch his left thumb. The movement is very slight but it is there! His progress at Journey Forward has been great and here is a . It is backwards but he is doing it himself, on this day he pedaled a mile and a half by himself. Love and miss everyone and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
