I'm waiting for pics also, we got up so early, I forgot the pack the camera.
Yesterday really was a fun event, I didn't drive, but I got plenty of rides on the courses. The most fun for me was seeing the ear to ear smile on my wife while she was drifting around the corners, as was seeing how impressive her driving was!
Thanks to MOP for lunch, and to everyone who worked and organized this event, it was great, and we'll see you at next months event !

MANY THANKS to all - especially Pete & Pete
Pete / NHref for all the organizing, and Pete / BWroofChex for clicking the camera, riding & chatting with me, and for dinner

Pics uploading now ... cut down about 500 to 130. If anyone wants large size originals, let me know ... there's some great pics of Joe, Sheena and Theo on the skid pad, a nice sequence of Jason doing the double lane change well (and Shannon doing it less well), and loads of parade lap pics.

Jason - we did the parade lap at about 25mph, but David still drove his racing line - it was fun following him and watching the line he took

If you want to check out the pics, go here - but at 11am they're still uploading, and uncommented ...

Oh God Ian I was so embarrased you caught me hitting cones. Thankfully you missed me taking out a whole line of them right after you put your camera away. too bad you didnt have a camera on me earlier when i was making some sweet turns on the figure 8. then i wouldnt feel like such a loser.

Shannon, you're no loser - look at the car you're driving
I only risked doing the double lane change once - less chance of a mess up

My weblog write-up is finished now:

Loads too many pics ... hard to select any best ones ...

How about Joe on the skid pad:

Or MINIs on the NHIS track:

I quite like this one

But it's probably best to pick-your-own in the Gallery !

Hey! I didn't know they were letting you guys on the track! Nice bonus!

Shannon, as they always say: If you're not hitting any cones, you're not trying hard enough.

That was the surprise I mentioned we were working on. We've got Bruce Smith, president of the White Mtn. Chapter to thank for personally asking NHIS management to let us take the parade laps.

As you know, thanks also go to Mike Cooney of Concord Motosports and Lori Connelly of MOP / Lyon-Waugh Automotive Group for sponsoring the event.

David T (LePew) also deserves credit for making sure everything was on track and taken care of while I was traveling the last couple of weeks. He'd been with this project from the beginning and was confident we could fill the class with MINIs Only.

Lastly, the instructors you rode with do not receive payment for this (or other similar) events. They love to drive and to help students brake bad habits while learning new techniques.

Please feel free to let the chapter's Driver Education Committee know your opinion of the experience and the instructor using this quick web form: WMC - Ask Us!

Thanks to Pete, David, and all the other instructors that helped us learn to break our bad habits of driving under less that amicable conditions. I loved recovering from the "oversteer" excercise and of course, I was smiling ear to ear on the SOAKING WET autocross course.

I didn't take many pictures... I wound up actually snapping photos with everyone else's camera BUT mine. Once I do get up the few I did take, I'll post them!

What a great day! What an experience, I think I may be sick on 8/23 (MotorsportReg.com : Register > Summer Heat Driving School '07) *cough*

Thanks to Pete for getting this arranged for us, Thanks to NHIS for allowing us on the track and a great big THANK YOU to the BMWCCA - White Mountain Chapter Instructors (especially the ones that road with me and listen to me scream)

All of what Ang and everyone else said. That was a blast.

And Richard, thank you for the two really cool pics of The Pearl! And Ang, for use of the camera. BTW, after seeing you on that skid pad, I don't think that is the last time you'll see me behind you on a track!!

What a blast!

Had so much fun and learned a great deal too. Can't wait for the next track event. Here's a few pics that my wife took while she stopped by, most are of Mr Magoo though.

Great pics! I love the ones where you're obviously steering into the slide.
