roads out

As some folks know I have moved to the Nahoba valley area between the squannacook and nashua rivers, both crested and with trees down and flooding, only one road north was available, it has eased a little and today the road west opened, south and east are still closed until friday.

Looking further south another system is developing that too could be a wet noreaster!

keep safe

I'll have an empty seat.

The only time you pipe up is to garner sympathy, eh? Is your place staying dry?

Hope everyone is okay, Dave, despite the road situation! Are you going to be able to make it to the run?

sat 28th

unfortunately I have a prior engagement to attend that weekend.

Do be careful of potholes and tree limbs on your travels and watch out for critters and birds, it is springtime.

my thoughts to Dan who I met at the new MINI launch in MoP recently. sad to lose a stalwart of the MINI clubs and a nice chap too.

cheers

Awesome! Well, not awesome about the service appointment, but awesome that you might be able to join!

Perhaps Brian can pick you up on his way down?

I think I'll make the trip up from CT. Looking forward to the airfield visit.

Cool. Hopefully the rain will stay away and you can make it up!

Woohoo! Have you heard or seen any pictures from my "Apple Pickin' Sundae" run back in October? I'll have to dig a few up...

Found one!

It was raining ALL day and we were acutally the only ones at the orchard, but we still had tons of fun even with the rain!

I think Ian (GBMINI) has a few more on his weblog...

That was the first time I met anyone from this group! I think I'm still a little soggy from that day...

Looks like yet another set of photos that I need to concentrate on posting. Looks like tomorrow might be just as soggy. Butterflies don't really get off the ground in the rain.

I will try to make it tomorrow, but because of other things I don't want to do I might or might not have to leave early.

Not sure if everyone knows this, but the butterfly exhibit is TOTALLY indoors. The butterfly room is like a big green house, so its warm and dry even though outside might not be!

I grew up in Tyngsboro, which is right around where this run is taking place. So you'll get to here me say over and over again "this looks nothing like it did when I was growing up".

I may have to take a trip past the old house to see what the new owners have done with it... The butterfly place is 5 miles away from the house.

Yep! You can bring your camera. I had used my point and shoot, but I saw other people snapping photos with their dSLRs. I'm sure flashes are fine too.

Jason, we can definitely stop by the house! Do you have and address for it? I can map it out and maybe we can check it out before we get there.
