cog railway to "Top"

In case there are those that didn't register in time to drive to the top or just have reservations against the drive, or hate the thought of depleting 5000 miles from the expected life of their cars engine and brakes( this is what they say anyway)................

The Mrs. and I have been to the "top" of Mt Washington twice and made the decision to bow out so that someone else(newbie, first timer, etc.) could make the trip as the number of cars able to do the climb is limited by the amount of parking at the top. I have never taken the cog railway up the backside of the mountain and so decided to do the deed on Sunday mid morning , before heading back home. If anyone else is interested in making this trip with us, feel free to chime in.

The Mount Washington Cog Railway
EDIT:
did a little resaerch last night and discovered that the fee for this little excusion runs about $60 per person .They recommend reservations, but for myself, I'll be taking my chances the day of, in case the weather is bad.

out of my mind.........back in five minutes.

The tradition is that the day after MOT the weather is fantastic - And sometimes Dads ride free on Dad's Day with paid children (No Michael Jackson jokes people!). Its a great ride.

How can you be in two places at once, when you're not anywhere at all ?

Five Thousand Miles deleted from the car sounds like 1) a little extreme,2) an urban legend that someone started and it has grown legs. Obviously it is tough on the car but 5,000 miles HUH?

I like when the front of the railway car is 14 feet higher than the back , it sure does mess with your visual perception ... it is worth the ticket price.
