So how many people are actually entering their MINIs in the show? Or is everyone just going for the fun of it?

I'm offically entered. Finally, after all these years of going. Can I squeeze next to you guys?

Cheers, Thompson

We met last year, just briefly. I was pulling out after setting up our vendor tent on Friday. Should be fun this year, rain or shine! Is Jason planning to be there in his new R56?

Cheers, Thompson

I'm not registered for the show field, but I'll stop by to visit and take pictures... the new MINI will be with me. And it will have to go on its inaugural trip through some mountain pass.

Just so I know and understand, we don't have to register if we're just going to "hang" out but if I wanted to 'show' my car I would have to pay? Louis and I are free this weekend. I wonder if he would want to go and look at pretty cars and eat some good food? I'll have to look into this.

You only have to register if you want to have your car on the show field. You can attend as a spectator, of course...

Yup, to put your car on the show field, you need to register. To spectate, just show up and pay the normal entrance fee.

There's an insane number of cool cars there. British candy foods. Toy cars. Annoying looped tape of bad British music ("I am the God of Hellfire!", "I'm Henry the 8th, I am I am", etc - you'd think they could find some much better British music).

I haven't thought much at all about where to drive / eat Saturday after the show. I'd be open to suggestions from anyone. There's lots of food choices in Stowe, and we can also get to Burlington for dinner time.

Somehow I'd managed to blot out the memory of the music. Thanks for reminding me. "Mrs. Brown you've got a lovely daughter..." Ugh.

Any idea Ricardo / Jason, if the weather will be dry this weekend?

Jason - a two day old car and you're not entering??? It would be the least amount of prep you could ever have! But just the same there is a lot to be said for a good mosey around at your on speed (humming all of Herman's Hermits classic hits - let's not forget about Henry VIII - not a Willy or a Sam).
This is a year I was going to make the effort to go but I have a family reunion to attend - and I just saw most of them just a few weeks ago...

Anyway as to Ian's query - Accuweather sez : Friday=cloudy Saturday=crappy(rain 50%) Sunday=beautiful !

Take lots of pictures everyone!
