The British Invasion seems to be the Ian-Jason-Ricardo show every year. MINI is the "featured marque" this year! Come north! Get the lead out! Let's get a few more M2ers at the show. There's always lots of cool cars to check out (like the Yankee Candle bazillionaire guy who always shows up with a bevy of Aston Martins and Bentleys), there are great roads to drive, there's all kinds of good eating to be had. It's fun, it's scenic, and it's better than a punch in the gut. Sign up!

Yes, Mini of Peabody and Meguiar's Products will be sponsoring the event. If you've never been, visit the British Invasion Website to get an idea of how big this event is. Stowe Vermont at this time of the year is one of the most beautiful places in New England. There will be over 1000 cars there of all marques; it's candy for the eyes. Of course, they don't know what they are in for with us MINI folk.

Anyone interested? It is a pretty good show with lots of good British cars. Well, the Lotus turnout has been pretty weak, but the Triumph, MG, Healey, Jag, and Morgan turnouts are always good. Then a few Rolls, Rovers, Aston Martins, etc.
Good cars, good food (depending upon where we decide to go), good driving roads (especially if you haven't already done a drive up here with a local).
So, sign up already! Or at least say you'll stop by and visit.
I would love to do this show, but time just won't permit this year. However, I'd love to get my Spitfire up there next year if we ever get it back in one piece again (re-wiring project gone horribly wrong). Not sure I'm brave enough to drive it that far though... Hmmm....
