Just got an e-mail from Paul Taylor. "Since the BMW CCA is handling that portion of the event you would have to ask them. " And the Boston Chapter website says: "VEHICLE TECH INSPECTION: It is strongly recommended that all vehicles be safety inspected by a qualified individual/mechanic prior to the event. This inspection should occur within three weeks prior to the event. Each entrant/driver is solely responsible for insuring that his/her vehicle is safe prior to arriving at the event. Failure of any vehicle to passan on-site safety check will disqualify its driver(s) from participation in the event and your entry fee will be forfeited."
Does anyone else from the MINI's only class on 7-15 recall someone saying 100 dollars would be taken off the reg fee for your first High Performance Driving Class? I'm trying to register and I don't see anything about this
There should be a $100 off option for your first HPDE event. Unfortnuately, once you register you cannot see the registration form again, so I cannot tell you if it really isn't there or if you just missed it. Contact the event registrar if all else fails.
Who's got a room to share for the night before? I haven't reserved a room myself yet at the Red Roof Inn... does anyone have a room they want to split? Or should I get my own.
I didn't complete the registration, I got to the point where it was asking for payment and I canceled. I did conctact the rigestrar and haven't heard back yet.
thanx
Just went through the registration again, only had three options to choose:
Driver Registration $190.00
Driver Registration - No prior on track exp. $90.00
Instructor Registration
Lunch included. $0.00
Hopefully I hear back from the registrar soon, closes on Monday.
Cool! Just be aware the having completed the registration form doesn't necessarily mean there's still room left for you. You might get bounced out. You'd think by now I'd know about how many people fill up an event. It's at 83 people right now including two marked "new".
Beacuse of the overwhelming response to my "who's got a room?", I went ahead and reserved a room at the Red Roof Inn down the road from the track. It's got 2 beds, so if anyone wants to split it, let me know. Or if anyone does have extra space I can cancel my reservation.
