MINIs On Top in Roundel Magazine

The article "MINIS ON TOP!" has just come out in the October issue of the BMW CCA club magazine Roundel.

Well written ( ! ) with excellent photos by Doug Mahar, the story opens with a two-page photo spread of the full parking lot On Top and the Presidentials to the south. Various photos include "Mini Coopers carve through the twisties on Bear Notch Road," "Old-school Mini Coopers join the Loon Mountain Resort pre-rally gathering," "Minis pose in front of the famous Mount Washington Hotel," and an uncaptioned photo of STRYKR2, a red/black MINI Cooper S covered in ducks . . .

The article is followed by MINI MEETS MAZDA ("With a price gap of only five percent, the Mini Cooper S faces stiff competition from the Mazdaspeed 3 for hot-hatch supremacy" and "Mini Car, Grand Effort" ("A Grand-Am Mini Cooper team races for the best of reasons: It's fun.")

BMW CCA members, check it out!

Yep, I got mine saturday and though I don't usually rip it open, I did and discovered it. I'll read it soon...
I did get a bit of a laugh of the mini vs mazda article following. Of course nothing can compete with the speed3 at that price point.

AWESOME issue, yeah Roundel. I know how hard it is juggling articles and trying to please all. My hats and membership dues :-) proudly go out to the BMWCCA this year. Well done. A must have MINI Cooper issue for the club periodical reader. I would have been at MOT this year, but was gleefully trippin' in our new to us Westfalia down at OBX...

Cheers, Thompson

Pete, how'd you get the new last name in the TOC? Are you modeling womens' underwear, now?

Now THAT'S a scary thought!

Trust me, I've seen my last name spelled a lot worse . . .
