Extra eyes, extra chatting, and many extra photos.
I might have to try co-driving this year. Won't know until Feb.

I need to be in NY the night of Feb 13.

Well I'm still fooling around with google maps. I uploaded a trip to the supermarket from the gps. I still have to fool with the gps settings to get it to snap to roads. If I can get some satisfactory results we can use this technology to upload updates as we go- providing someone brings a laptop that will view the tomtom gps as a disk. On my Mac desktop it works without any additional software, I don't know about pc's. Anyone bringing a laptop want to chime in?

I also sucessfully tested the inverter charging my radio and camera battery. Last year I couldn't get that to work. Wesley (the car) is turning into a geekmobile - the 25 ft orange extension cord from the inverter and the neon light triple tap add to the ambience.

It gives you a tremendous opportunity to really get to know everyone, even the people you've "known" from past events. Plus it means more company and an extra set of eyes, which with the long days we put in can be very useful. Just a thought.

It also means you have to apologize to the passenger for poorly executed turns

The size of your gut is not a prerequisite for this trip.... Welcome to the New England Mini2 forum.

Yeah, Now I'm definitely out for this trip. My exhaust header just crapped out. My Mini sounds like a Harley going down the road and my teeth are chattering from all the vibration.

Nor is the size of your Mitsubishi Endeavor, Toyota Tundra, or Ford Expedition.

Updated the traveler list ~ still have 7 people (5 cars/drivers, 2 co-pilots/navigators)

Squid ~ are you definitely in? If so, the number goes to 8. Also, should you decide not to drive the Subaru, do you have a place to leave the car yet?

Return to Hudson Bay 2010 (and 2011) . . . not

NHRef, I frequent Motoring|Underground a lot, and there are at least a few that live up in the Northern New England area - I'm going to take the liberty of posting a link back to this thread so if they are interested maybe they can meet up with you guys/gals!

Edit: OK, I've posted a thread on M|U that might yield results..

I'm in the Maybe column until Feb.
The rescue Subaru is running well and I could bring it but I was thinking of co-driving this year.
Parking depends on meet-up place. In NY I am near trains so I could start out that way.

Understood.

If you decide to co-drive, you're welcome to leave the Subaru at my place in Milford NH if that's convenient.
