And, for those of you planning to stay at the T&C with your quadrupedal family members, there are a few issues to consider:

So if you are a non-smoker with a pet and want to stay at the T&C, please consider:

1) bringing your own sheets/pillow cases/can of Lysol, etc;
2) working a room trade with another MOTer who has a non-smoking ground floor room.

I had no dirty/smelly issues with our T&C pet room last year, except that it was about half the size of a normal room/one double bed instead of two. But as I always say what does the size of the room matter when all you do is use it to sleep and shower. Well, OK, not if you're Richard and invite dozens of younger people back to get them drunk and pretend you're their age.

I did not mean to imply that previous pets might be the source of any discomfort.

Being ex-smokers (since 1978!), Carol and I happed to be rather sensitive to the smell of a smoked-in room. However, we had had smoking rooms in our travels that have had no trace of odor. I suspect that the good standards of the T&C will not let us down this year!

ATTENTION: Potential MOT 2008 Volunteers

Shortly, we will be posting a list of the various volunteer positions for MOT 2008 on the MINIs On Top website. The list will briefly indicate what needs to be done in each position and the names of those folks who have already volunteered.

Hello All! Can't wait to see you all and your MINIs again in 08! I will volunteer for Saturday help "under the tent", selling t-shirts or helping with answering questions from the Newbies and 1st-Timers. I suppose it's assumed that I know what it's all about?! Hokey-Pokey, of course!

As to Saturday apres climb/drive, we from the Cape Cod MINIs found it too crazy and gathered ourselves outside our room. I wouldn't mind if it were a more informal gathering, giving the organizers a break. Then we can all turn in in our own time.

Lastly, for those that can drive up on Friday (most of us), the Cape Cod MINIs always gather at the Sagamore Commuter parking lot @ 10:00, and will leave there @ 10:30 (no later, gang!) so as to connect at Area 51 with the rest of the gang.
