Glad to hear the first one actually happened, and no one went for a swim. I'm booked up the next two weekends, but maybe the weekend after those, if it is still cold enough.
Thanks for showing the photos! It looks like all the cars had to do was to stay in one lane with snowbanks on each side and complete the course. Who did the best time?
Easier said than done!! Before I did my first timed lap, I think I did just a single parade lap around the timed course. I *might* have gotten a run around the practice course, but I don't remember, now. For all the feedback there was in the steering wheel, I might have been sitting in my garage with the front wheels off the ground. When I went into the first turn (obviously too fast and completely on glare ice), I thought I was actually influencing the direction of the car with the gas and steering wheel. A moment later snow was flying over the hood!
You're right, tho, Becca: it's basically an autocross course, but without all that messy deciphering of cone directions.
No idea. They haven't been posted yet. On my 2nd timed run, I placed 2nd out of 3 in my class. I've been checking the website for results and will post back when I find out more.
