My clubman is barely a month old and factory stock. I am very confident that it is in safe condition but should I be concerned about the vehicle tech inspection? If so, who can do that for me?

Technical inspections are not required for this Advanced Safety Skills School (ADSS) event, an educational school-type event that takes place in a parking lot. You will be getting classroom instruction, and testing the brakes, suspension, steering of your Clubman. You'll also be testing your own ability to smoothly and consistently control the car on a wet skid pad. But only at speeds of 30-40 MPH.

What time do we need to get there as there will be a pre-check?

I am from Boston so just want to know what time to leave my place.

Someone else will provide a more official answer as to what time to arrive, but the website says 8:00am. You need to sign a waiver for the track, drive to the parking lot, sign a waiver for the BMWCCA, and empty your car completely. I forget when the classroom presentation starts, but if you arrive at 8:00 you should be fine.

The classroom session won't begin until about 9 am. You are welcome to arrive anytime after 8am. Most people need about 15 minutes to unload their cars and for the on-site saftey check.

If the event goes off as planned, you'll be receiving a detailed email about a week beforehand..

I've taken a skid class before, on a retired 80s cop car, so I'm looking forward to having this experience in our Clubman and learning how it responds!
