Ok, MINI Moose stickers anyone? ![]() I think this one would look particularly fetching on a Liquid Yellow MINI. ![]() (find them HERE...scroll way down) "The problem with using quotes from internet sources is that you can never be sure they are authentic." - Abraham Lincoln

Hey folks! Just wanted to say "Thanks!" for Minis On Top! And to all of those who helped answer my questions and get things coordinated. MOT was a great conclusion to my MINI adventure that had started over a week earlier with the Blue Ridge Parkway Tour down in North Carolina before heading up the East coast. Sadly, the weather did not cooperate with us for a sunrise on Cadillac Mountain before heading over to MOT. But I suppose there is some consolation for me in being able to say there was a MINI on Cadillac Mountain and a contingent did make the morning drive from Bar Harbor to MOT. Since our anniversary always falls on MOTD weekend, I don't think I'll ever get to that. So MOT could very well be the largest assembly of MINIs that I'll ever get to experience (certainly to date it has been). It was awesome seeing so many in one place. The drive up Mt. Washington was great and the organization of the event was top notch. Hopefully I can make it to another MOT one day. Hope we can meet again sometime. Until then, enjoy motoring!!!

Absolutely! From this newbie's perspective, it seemed to come off without a hitch or glitch. One might mistakenly think it all just 'comes together on its own', but clearly that's not the case. Thanks to one and all for a grandtastic event!

Josh makes it to the top of Mt. Washington CONWAY, N.H.—Hikers and bikers have scaled Mount Washington, the Northeast's highest mountain. This time, it was Josh the camel's turn. The daring dromedary from Lempster, N.H., made the 7.6 mile uphill journey on the mountain's auto road to the summit, escorted by his owner and two companion horses. He started his trek at about 3 a.m. Wednesday and arrived at the top at about 8:30 a.m., WMWV-FM reported. Josh will rest up and pose for photos with summit visitors until the auto road closes for the day. Then, he'll make his way back down.

Whelp, now they're going to have to change the Audio Tour CD again--I bet that's going to cheese them off! We didn't realize we had any such thing until the drive home on Sunday. Lo and behold, we found the CD in the packet of stuff they gave out at the entrance to the Auto Road. The packet immediately went into the backseat and I set course on navigating up the hill. The CD is actually pretty interesting and well done, with a mix of ecological and historical info. There's about five minutes worth of all the 'record-holder' performances--from the early days to present. My favorite was the chap who went up on foot, backwards, with a loaded wheelbarrow, and barefoot. Bet he wishes he'd a thought about bringing the camel...

New record this year..longest delay before reporting my MOT experience! Thanks to being away every weekend since. That's also delaying my photo editing....but it will be done in due time (as usual). I couldn't believe this was my sixth minisontop. Feels more like 3. Pat of that is due to the weather finding new ways to make it different every year, and this year was no exception with incredible clouds to add to all the views of the weekend, and of course the aforementioned rainbows! Big thanks go out to all those who make this all possible, it really is more work than you think when you get to see some of it behind the scenes. And of course the biggest thanks go to everyone else for contributing so much to the charities, as well as contributing fun and smiles that really are the secret behind the even being a success year after year.
