This is my first MOT event, I'll join up with everyone at area 51. Needless to say, I'm excited.
By the way, somebody post a note about BMW CCA hosting an event for disabled drivers. As it happens, I am disabled and drive my Mini with hand controls. Does anybody have any more info on this event?
Yes, Adam, that was me. The White Mountain Chapter is supporting another organization that is running the driving school. The school is being held next Friday, the day before MOT, at Loon Mountain (same place that we gather on Saturday). Feel free to swing by on Friday if you're taking the Kanc towards Attitash.

Wow! MOT is this weekend already?! Where has the month of June gone?
I and my trusty copilot (Bill) will be meeting up with everyone at Area51. Can't wait to see you all!
We (Allison and Tom) are going to try and meet up at YC but since we are coming from Wilmington,De we may miss the timing due to traffic and will end up meeting up with everyone at Area 51.
Very excited and looking forward to meeting everyone.
So having lived in DC, I am VERY familiar with the route you might be taking. Fortunately, once you get past NYC, you should have pretty smooth sailing until you reach the Hartford area.
If you are traveling I95 from NYC to I91 and up, you will need about 1.75 hours to travel from New Haven to YC...without endangering anyone! If you don't get onto I91 in New Haven by 8:45, then you may wish to take I91 north just to Hartford, then I84 east to the Mass Pike, Mass Pike east to I495, I495 north to I93, I93 north to Concord and A51 ~15 miles north of Concord.
You can also go up the Garden State Parkway to I287 east to I684 north to I84 and east to Hartford. Figure about 1.00 hours or so from Hartford to YC. Continue on I84 if you will not have enough time to catch us at YC and follow the I84 route in the above paragraph. Usually, the Garden State route is a bit longer, but you do skirt the NYC area.
The YC caravan's drivers' meeting will be at 10:30 with an 11:00 departure.
See you soon!
Theo

Hi Theo and all of you going to this years Mini on top. This is year No.5 for me (Bob) and my wife Dona going on the trip. It seems like I just started going and now its been 5 yrs. I hope to see some old friends and make some now ones again this year. I will be going with the group from Yankee Candle again. Hope to see you there.
I think I'll be able to join the Boston Group (of course the Jimmy Buffett concert is Thursday night, so we may just be rolling in at 11AM!)
Hopefully the weather will be in our favor for the whole weekend , Theo and Ian do you have any way to arrange that???
Happy Motoring!
