And the amazing thing is that the record was broken in 1996 - but no one realized it until recently.
You'd think anyone who is around any wind approaching 250 mph would think it was a 'big wind' . . .

The view from the top last summer makes me think even though they're renaming it Lost Record Mountain, it's worth another shot this summer.
