| April 27th at FDR State Park, NY Words from Miniqueen: "The offical date is still Sunday, April 27, 2003. The meeting place will be FDR state park (AKA Mohansic for those who know the area) at 12pm. I will be mapping out the drive when I get back from my MINI Sales Manager's meeting at the end of this month. I will also be emailing everyone who left me their email address after the last gathering. If you did not attend the last one and are planning to attend this time, please drop me an email. We had almost 50 MINI at the last meet, it would be great to get more. Let's Motor!" I had a blast at the winter meet. Lots of goodies. Look forward to a good rally this time around. | MINI SPRING FLING MEETING PLACE: Franklin D Roosevelt (FDR) State Park April 27, 2003 at 12pm DIRECTIONS: Coming from lower New York: Sprain Brook Parkway to Taconic State Parkway North to FDR State Park. Once on the exit ramp, go through the park tollbooths and make a left. Parking lot #2 will be on your right hand side. Coming from Upper New York: Taconic State Parkway South to FDR State Park. Follow remaining directions from above. Coming from New Jersey: 287 E over the Tappan Zee Bridge. Road will fork, follow 287E/Cross Westchester to Exit 1, Route 119/Saw Mill River Parkway. Bear left onto Saw Mill River Parkway North, to Taconic State Parkway North to FDR State Park. Follow remaining directions from above. Coming from South Connecticut: I95 South to 287 West to Sprain Brook Parkway North to Taconic State Parkway North to FDR State Park. Follow remaining directions from above. Coming from North Connecticut: 20 miles North of FDR State Park is the exchange for TSP North/I84. If you get onto TSP North, there is a rest stop on the left. It is closed, but you can park. (If you want the whole motoring experience, follow the directions coming from upper NY) THE FLING: We will be driving North on the TSP (about 63 miles) to arrive at our destination, Lake Taghkanic State Park. The day will end with a MINI boot party in the West Beach parking lot. | I don't think I'll be able to make this meet ... going to the one at Sterling MINI the day before ... however should I not be totally wiped out driving back and forth to Va. I'll crash the party. |

| Jeeze pb! **GMINI03** is at Sterling today. Yawlin it up at Cooters place. Met him Wednesday at the BMWshop for the first time. Nice guy as I'd suspected. Now. I'm sure I've talked to you about this. Now there's a MiniG, too...... luckily not in this region. Hey any comfort I'm on that thread too sayin I'd be there if I hadn't spent easter in VA already and this meet wasn't planned Sunday. Are you teasing me, hombre? Si. Hasta mañana! g ' |

| Hey pb! Great seeing you! Wish we had more time to chat! Great meet. Glad I went. Westchester MINI's really got some great folks. What a splendid turnout. Over 50 cars. We dominated the Taconic Parkway for the hour ride between state parks, all of which were gorgeously tinted with new spring growth and yellow sunshine. Magnaflow, Rogue, and Supersprint exhausts. HEY! only 5 dark silver MINIs!!!!!! Two velvet reds! I gotta say some great NY/NJ folk, Strong Island heavily represented. The potluck barbeque was a grass root smash. Yummie! If I get my hands on the well-arranged photo here it goes. A+ Lori! |
