Offline | Good morning all, Big Day minus two and a good time to thank all the hard work done by the folks who put this one together. Just a look at where drivers are coming FROM tells us that y'all have done a good job. Bravo This involves more than saying, hey there are some keen roads near my house, let's post a thread. It's time-consuming yet fun just not as easy as some of us out here might think. Again and in advance...thanks, guys and we'll see you Sunday AM Wear the MINI, Rob. I just really liked Freedomland as a lad and hated COOP CITY. Uncharacteristically, I have only one good Freedomland story for you on Sunday. Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear. |

Offline | I'm mean but not that mean. El, you anywhere near Fessenden? Only in the sense they are both in Newton. I'm on one side and Fessenden is on the other. Great school though. Excellent hockey rink. EB/W MCS, Mods? Never enough. If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. |

Offline | Pez, You know the Dunkin' Donuts in Auburndale Center? We can meet in the parking lot there at 5:30 if you like. Going to need lots of Joe that early in the AM. p.s. You think Ferrari owners get up this early to go for a "Sunday" drive? EB/W MCS, Mods? Never enough. If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. |

| heh...lame | Okay cool. I'll be there. Also, did I drive past you in Lex center a couple weeks ago? On Mass Ave going towards Arlington. There was an EB/W and I sort of recognized the driver from meets. "Just keep heading into the wind. Don't let anything blow you over." Ed Smith / MaxaMini 6/14/05 |

Offline | So here's the deal again, if this is OK WESTFIELD TO LITCHFIELD via MRS> MURPHY'S I will meet you at the Friendly's at the end of the exit 3 ramp from the Mass Pike. At least it was a Friendly's the last time I was through (I lived in Westfield for 11 years, ugh!). I'll print out my route for each so if I am too pookey or you are tooooo fast plus for the return. We'll have to drive through town into Southwick, MA where yours truly will treat all to the best REAL doughnut ever made - a cinnamon doughnut from Mrs. Murphy's, if warm, is far better than s**, believe me (I can hear the comments now - just wait). Then off to Litchfield. This route is fairly direct, not the most woodsy, twisty but avoids the ugliness of I-91 See ya between 7 - 7:30. John ![]() Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear. |

Offline | My name is john too and I happen to be very well wrapped up in this weekend's spectacular MINI event. Let me assure you that the Litchfield meet is completely free of charge and absolutely open to anyone driving a MINI Cooper. No limitations beyond that. Now if that's not open...Hope to see you there, bakerjc - you can't possibly get lost - this thread has suddenly become all about how to get here from Mass. ![]() NY/NE Mod |

Offline | As well it should, MA being the first step toward the good life in northern NE. Not that we want all of you up here on a permanent basis...sorry, just come and spend. Ah, my new partner in revolution, Mr. Baker and his lovely clan. You are most welcome. Doughnuts for all especially if, in your car, you have that CD with Saturday morning cartoon themes. Please forgive the anti-flatlander remark, to most in my town I am still one and probably will remain that way until more teeth fall out and I get some old appliances for my porch. Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear. |

Offline | JC, At least your cooper isn't on the front lawn (dirt patch) on blocks with three wheels off...yet :-) EB/W MCS, Mods? Never enough. If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. |

| Only Unbalanced | Open is good... But John (GMINI John) why did you miss the opportunity to have this John treat 35 MINI drivers to coffee? I remember being a new Tenderfoot Boy Scout, wanting so much to do good, and walking for miles and miles because I was sure just the next troop would have the left-handed wind shifter I was sent to find. Call me jaded, but the new kid on the block always has to do SOMETHING!(Now, if I see my old patrol leader while driving MINI, I would be tempted to run him over) See you all there, and new-John, welcome aboard. This is a fun group of people David |

Offline | David, This 'new' John appreciates the kind word as it may be connected to a youth long gone. However, I am the john (sorry!) who ran the CD contest at MOT, who is now the NH Gov.'s best friend. I am the very old John as CTJohn will certify. But thanks anyway and, if I can, I'll save you a doughnut - find me in LY/B NH SCAR-GO And, the honorable Mr. Baker is my new partner in the growing movement to overthrow the Tyrant of the Cape Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear. |
