Smiley Face License Plates

The Harvey Ball Foundation is in the process of getting the "Smiley Face" adorned on a custom MA license plate. People signing up early get a choice of preferred # (some are taken at this time). More info at
http://www.worldsmile.org/embrace_the_face.htm

Some of the $40 per year fee goes to MA schools for the enhancement of the arts programs.

What could be better than a Smiley Face on the back of your MINI? I've got one reserved, it should be "HB 0666". Kinda takes the edge off of the kitsch.....

HMS seem to be good guys - I think I will definitely go along to that event and see what is happening.

Thanks for pointing it out!

I can respect the possibility of some minor trepidation while driving the step and winding Auto Road. Therefore, may I propose that in order to stem those fears we drive up and down in reverse next year?

If we are to do it in reverse, how do we get our MINIs to the top to start the trip? And then how do we get them down after?

I'm confused.......

I'm also confused about what constitutes a "step" and winding road.

My apologies for all my shameful typographicalistic errorisms and for my ambiguity. I was referring to driving up and down in reverse gear. I have been practicing. I drove from Connecticut to New Jersey and back again three times in reverse over the weekend. I am getting pretty good.

EB/W MCS, Mods? Never enough. If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.

OK, Ice, what did she forget in NJ that you had to go back for? How about putting the squeemish in a MINI in one of those new Freightliner tall vans, black out the windows, then up and down, turn 'em around three times, and point them toward the donkey.....

Hi, Steve, Wally, Brad, Scarlet, Diane, and all MOT compadres - count us in for next year. Weekends are better. We have another high school senior graduating, so that's the only thing that will keep us away. Not PC to miss #3 son's graduation, even for a MINI MOT rally. While starting in NY at sunrise is easier (and crossing L. Champlain by ferry is relaxing) it seems that Sunrise to Sunset rally is best suited for east to west route.

We're also in for ICE's scavenger hunt. We've done that before and it's great fun!!

WELCOME

Nice to have more NYers in the crowd (this coming from an expat)now, are you interested in a coup?

See, there's this evil guy living on Cape Cod who happens to be away for a few days checking his accounts in the Caymans and I thought, that while he's gone,......

Good for you, Ian. How do you sound now?

Re: WELCOME

Mary (INIW),
Where have you been till now - recovering from an overdose of Pollys Pancakes Maple Butter perhaps?
Hope you make it again next year - actually hope we ALL make it again next year!

John,
Total silence! Car delivered to Tweeter yesterday and I returned home with the help of Dan. I will get the car when I return from a needed two week break.
Tweeter listened to Dans car and claimed they could hear some engine noise through the stock system - I could not be bothered to argue with them but maybe they were just hearing the whistle of the supercharger
Hands up all the HK upgrade owners with engine noise in their sound system ...
